There's no real reason why not, as long as you don't have any other animals who can bother them.

You also want to make sure it's not in a drafty area. What type of floor is in your bedroom?

Ditto nancy and AR.

But please, in the future, make your thread titles more informative... I came in thinking it was an emergency of some kind. I'm relieved it wasn't.

In that case, you might want to put something under them, such as a spare piece of carpet or a plastic mat. The rats will throw out bedding and food and it'll get all over your carpet if you don't.

Oh yeah good point to mention. I have my cage sitting on vinyl carpet runner to protect the carpet since my girls like to aim outside of the cage when they pee.

Probably won't be a problem for them, but could be a problem for you.  You're going to have to do some serious bending and stooping whenever you want to access the inside of their cage.

I don't think kneeling should be much of a problem..I've always kept my cages on the floor, and have always had to kneel to get into the bottom level. Unless you've got some sort of back or joint issues, it shouldn't be a concern Smiley
