I thought those ferretrail tubes looked like fun, but I was worried my lazy boys would never go in there, especially Fitzroy who is so skittish of new things that he won't go in the cage for two days if we change the way it's set up. Well thank goodness for Ruby and Wiggle Worm. Worm ran through them in no time flat, and Ruby was soon to follow. Then I woke up one morning to this:

They both sleep in there now, either in this three way intersector or in one of the elbows.

Since the girls climb down to the floor when their cage is open, we have to lock them in sometimes while the boys get to stay out. I think they like tormenting them from above.

I never thought Fitzroy would go in there, but he totally loves it. I allways find him in there now!

This is how we have everything set up until we get the R695.

The boys aren't brave enough to run up and down the outside like Wiggy and Ruby, but they are constantly in there now. It was $30 well spent. I highly recommend them to anyone. They're pretty easy to put together and take appart. I don't know if they are dishwasher safe though. Has anyone else washed theirs in the dishwasher? When I got them I washed them in the sink with dishsoap and hot water, but there are too many of them to fit in there all at once. It was easy enough to clean and dry them though.

If anyone else has pics of their rats in tubes post them. I thinkthey look so cute poking out.

I put mine in the top shelf of the dishwasher using hot water and heated dry and they hold up just fine.

The boys look very happy. I have a T shaped tube hanging in a cage with 8 rats, they all try to pile in it to sleep. It's so funny to see just a head in the tube (body outside) full of rats, poor guys must feel left out.

Kisses to those sweeties Kiss

Thank for the info Adventure Rats! Its great to know I can put them in the dishwasher! Yay for less cleaning. I would love to see eight rats try to cram into one of those things! I bet it's adorable to see random bits of rat poking out here and there.  Yellow Cute Laugh

I got them from The Ferret Depot becasue they had the lowest price - $27.99. Their main page is at www.ferretdepot.com.

Here's the page with the tubes I bought: http://www.ferretdepot.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=62230&Category_Code=2FunnelsTubes&Product_Count=0

You can also buy them individually, or in smaller groups. My kids love the ball that came with them as well, so I'd suggest the playground set. If you get them for your kids, let us know how they like them! And maybe get a few pictures of them in there?

My boys love the one tube that they have. I was at Petsmart and they didn;t have any of the fun elbow ones or anything.  Tongue

Here's a pic of them "sleeping" in it...doesn't look too comfortable though lol

Can't forget eating in it Smiley

I just take it apart and wash it in the sink, but I guess cleaning one is easier then cleaning a bunch of them lol.
