I have a really big ferret cage for my rats that is help together with little plastic clips.  Over time, the clips have gotten stretched out and some of them lost.  I'm worried one day the whole cage might fall apart on me.  What can I use (inexpensive) to hold the sides together better?

You can order clips from Superpets, but I would recommend zip ties. You can get them at hardware/home improvements stores/ebay and they come in many pretty colors and lengths.

That was quick!  Thanks!  I'm staying away from ordering more clips from Super Pets since that's what didn't work in the first place, but I will look for the zip ties.

zip ties (also called cable ties) are a great idea.  Very easy to use.  You can even find them at walmart...and my cages have multicolored zip ties for the fashion conscious rat.  Blue Dumbo Smile

Love a rescue rat and they'll love you back!

they are a great idea unless you have rats that chew.  I had to replace my zip ties with C clamps

Haha, I remember doing that at your house one day. I'm surprised the cage was still together with the amount of damage the girls did to the zip ties.

I don't think the current girls are as bad, but I don't think I'll ever just have zip ties again.
