I wanna really spoil my ratties with plenty of room and toys and treats but is a RUDD too big for 2 possibly 3 furkids? I know this is possible a stupid question and people are probably going to laugh at me but that's okay... I was either going to get the Rudd or the Skyscraper... Which one?

as someone else posted, the only way there is TO much room is when you have a poster in the middle of the cage stating "you are here"
.
Honestly, if you have the money, the powdercoated RUUD would be awesome playground for 2 or 3 ratties, and if you can't get them out everyday, they would have plenty of room to run around in.

I have four rats in a ruud and they love it. They fight less because there is more room so each can have thier own space when they need to be alone. Plus running up al those levels keeps them fit and healty. The ruud rocks if you have the money you should get one, it is a hassel to clean soemtimes but its way worth it. Be sure to get powder coated.

I don't think there can be too much room, unless a cage is so big you actually can't find the rats.
So, if you have the money and are prepared to do big major cage cleaning I'd say go for it!

Like the others said, unless they need a road map, or they disapear into the horizon, there's never such as thing as a too big cage! If you can afford a huge one, and don't mind cleaning, Go for it!

Thanks, do you think it would require more cage cleaning than say a three level or a GP cage? Just wondering if no one knows that's okay too... I know it's be pretty hard to clean but I think I'm ready for it...
Thanks again,
Jessie...

Bigger cages dont smell as bad/fast as smaller cages.

I have my four boys in a multi level ferret cage that the calculator says can hold fourteen rats. Mine's more of a pain to clean than your's will probably be, because the levels have grooves around the edges that get filled with gunk I have to scrape out.
As far as daily cleaning, it's pretty easy. I have all the levels set up so I can reach them with a dust buster. I just vacuum up any scattered food and poop and call it clean. Getting the levels placed right was the tricky part. I've moved them around four times in the year I've had the cage and every time, I would find there was one level I just couldn't reach through the doors.
The hard part is when I clean the cage thoroughly once a month or so. I have to remove every level (through the door because the top doesn't come off) and scrape accumulated pee soaked debris out of the grooves. Then, I wash off the platforms with soapy water, dry them, and replace them in the cage. It usually takes about two hours.
So, not particularly easy, but it makes for some very happy rats. That makes it totally worth it.

A cage too big for rats? Not possible. A cage to big to clean and furnish and not be completly worn out by the activity... that's another story ^_^

i asked the same question here once when i was trying to decide between 695 and ruud. what clinched the 695 for me was the cleaning issue. im not big enough to clean the ruud, or move it up and down our stairs, and i didnt want to need help every time i clean the cage, so i went with the 695. but i only have two babies, so they have tons of room to spread out, and lots of room for toys. And it's just within the size that i can move it around by myself.
