I live in Dutchess County NY, Poughquag to be exact and i've owned rats for the longest time. I have a wonderful vet and a great home for all my ratties, room and space. I am looking for some good quality pet rats as companions, but some pretty breeders would also be nice. I am new to Rat Breeding and so far I have found all my Ratties lovely homes, so if anyone in my area, near or around needs a foster or has adoptions, let me know and I will gladly take in many ratties. ( I have enough space, food, materials ect ) All I would need is someone to transport them to me. So please E-mail me at Poisonislust@aol.com thanks   Blue Dumbo Smile

Is there any way you can get down to NYC?  I know you've read about my boys in my other post.. but would you be able to meet at least half way?  I can get into NYC.. any further would be too complicated with the ratties en tow

Do you intend to breed the rats you take in? Just curious, it's not quite clear in your post.

i'd hope not.. since you would prolly not know anything about their backgrounds..

if you were to adopt mine, i wouldn't want them bred

just making babies isn't what breeding's about .. it's about engineering healthy/standard perfect animals...  (ideally.. not to say that's what people do anymore)

*shruuugs*

I can't get them up to you anyway..  my boys are now part of Kim's Ark..  Hyper Ratty Smiley Ratty Smiley Hyper

No I wouldn't plan on breeding them, they'd be companion pets and would be loved very much. I might not be as expirienced as many breeders, but I know not to breed rats unless you know there backgrounds and any illness's that the line carries. I also wouldn't breed unless I knew that the babies would find GOOD homes. I have had a few rat litters in the past and have found homes for all the pups.
