No really, I AM a nurse!

« on: June 04, 2006, 07:02:24 PM »

I just 'adopted' two ratty himi boys from littlehounddog this afternoon.

Stupidly, I took them in without having approval from my significant other. But when I adopted my ratty girls from heidinratties earlier this year, he wasn't crazy about the idea, but he became so taken with them afterwards that I never thought he'd react in such a hostile way...

Not even 45 minutes after I got them home, my SO saw them and threw a fit. He told me "no more!!" and that I have to get rid of them because he doesn't want any more animals in here because they 'stink'. These little guys are so sweet, but I can't keep them...

I tried calling littlehounddog immediately after getting reamed out... I explained the situation (she knew SO didn't know and that I wasn't sure how he'd react) and asked that she please take them back, that I'd drive them back to her house ASAP in the new cage I just bought with everything in it, etc.. That was almost 3 hours ago, and I've since left another message as well, in addition to an email.

I'm still waiting for a response... I feel like an idiot for getting in this situation, but I didn't have any idea it would turn out this terrible. All I know is that for next time, it's best to consider my partner fully and completley before adding on any additional family members...

Any help/suggestions is appreciated.. Sad

If you state where you're located, I'm sure someone in your area will take them in and get you out of this sit.  I'll gladly take them in and give them a great home, but I'm in reno, so if your close, feel free to pop buy or vice versa

Problem is solved... they are going to go back home.

I am so sad to let them go... Good thing I didn't have more than 12 hours to get attached. Sheesh. =~~(
 Embarrassed

I'm so sad because I know they would fit in so well here, and they're so sweet. Darn SO's and their opinions. =\

When you're too open minded, brains fall out!

Sorry, I'm locking the thread.  It's still Adoptions and there's no discussion here.
