The Adoption Center It is NOT to be used for general discussion, breeding ethics, etc.

If you're interested in the rats being offered for adoption, post, then make further arrangements via private message.

If you're the thread author and want to bump your post or update your post once it has dropped to the second page, fine.

If you want to lecture about "responsible breeding", say how cute the babies are, etc., DO NOT post.  They WILL be removed. Posters that persist will be given warnings, and entered into the "Three Strike System."

The section of the forum is for finding good homes for rats. Period.

Please don't reply "I wish you were coming through XXX" UNLESS you are truly interested in helping with an adoption.  This is considered 'general discussion or comments', and they're not allowed.

ONLY IF YOU CAN HELP WITH AN ADOPTION, SHOULD YOU REPLY!  All 'comments' DO get removed.

Two New Rules for the Adoption Center. Violations will be removed without warning.

1. If you are posting, YOU should be the one offering the rats for adoption. If you are not, you need to have DIRECT permission from the person who is adopting them out, and be able to PROVE it if asked.

2. Craigslist ads are NOT to be posted, under ANY circumstances. They will be removed ON SIGHT.

Thank you.

[Edited to bold the second item, which is being ignored lately]

There sure seems to be a lot of members who are forgetting to stick to this rule in Adoptions.   We weed out what we see, but please just refrain from personal conversations and chatter posts in this section!   police

Folks... I am seeing MULTIPLE posts involving some of the same rats, and for an average visitor looking to adopt, this is EXTREMELY confusing (I'll be frank, I can't even reconcile it all to clean things up!  ). PLEASE make ONE thread. If it is a rescue that is coordinating all of these, choose ONE person from the organization to create the thread, and reply with updates as necessary (such as who has found a home).

The Adoption Center is once again becoming a mess because of things like this. Please help us keep it orderly -- it's the fastest way to find new homes for these rats, period. The more threads there are covering the same territory, the less exposure OTHER rats get that need homes just as badly.

Thank you.
