which lab block makes the ratties chubber- 2018 or 8604? I have 2 very active slim 2 1/2 month old girls.I want them to get just a little bit chubby. I'm gonna place an order with kim's ark. Do rat's need the suebee's diet? I found the ingredents a bit pricey, abd most of the ingredents I can't fnd at wal-mart. Which is about the only store within an hr radius of me. So anyone that has any input, please place it!

I think probably the 8604.  I believe that's the one for young ratties and moms....  I don't know much about lab blocks, so hopefully someone else will add advice, but I would think the 8604 would help a rat put on a little weight because it's meant for growing ratties to begin with.

I do not feed Harlan, so I don't know the answer to that one.

But I do know that if you do order and feed the Harlan lab blocks, then no your rats do not need Suebee's diet.

Just give them some fresh fruits/veggies and healthy leftovers from dinner as treats for a little variety.

"Chubby" is unhealthy. As long as you can't see bones sticking out, leave the weight where it is. Lean rats are healthy rats.
