hi folks,

well, gladly, i had no problems with the vet at all.. explained over the phone what i had learned from rat websites and she was more than happy to comply.

she would only sell a whole botle of baytril though, at a total of 50ml, costing 70 francs (56 US dollars, 30 UK Pounds), at 2.5% strength.

so, with this strength of baytril, 2.5%, am i right in giving a daily dose of 0.5ml for a 410g rat for 3 weeks for respiratory infection?

just want to confirm ive got it right, at last.

yay or nay???

ta!!

YES! Way to go OscarWabbit! That's great news  Grin

Yep, you can give either 0.25ml twice a day or 0.5ml once a day - depending on how well the rats take it.

That was actually a good price for Baytril compared to what I pay - my vet charges £1.00/ml so that would have been 114.86 francs for 50ml!
