Young Male Rat and 6 week old One Eyed Female, MI

I was in Petco today and in the adoption section was a young (under a year, they don't know his age) male rat.  He is black with a reddish undertone and has a white stripe for a belly.  All they know is yesterday a lady came in with two rats, one male and one female who had just given birth, and wanted to get rid of them.  The female and her babies will be ready in a couple of weeks for adoption.  Please if anyone can take the male, I would feel so much better!  Petco says they don't adopt rats as pet food, but come on.  It is so easy to lie and only have to pay $2 for a feeder rat.  Please, if anyone can help just let me know!!

Ok guys, it has been two and half weeks now and this guy is still there.  No toys, no nest box, no nothing!!!!!!  He is starting to over groom himself now.  Please Please Please someone give this little guy a home!!!  He lets me pick him up and everything.

Ok, i couldn't handle it anymore.  I went and got him I CAN'T KEEP HIM but I am willing to foster him untill someone can adopt him.  I will be posting pictures of him in the days to come.  He really is a friendly guy!  But while i was there at petco, they had recieved a female who was missing an eye.  She was on anti-bioitics for a week or so but because she only has one eye she couldn't be sold.  So i took her home also.  I CAN'T KEEP HER EITHER.  But i couldn't just leave her there.  I will be posting pictures of her also in hopes that someone will take her home and give her lots of loving.
