"Treating" Inoperable Tumours
«

I have adopted an elderly rescue rat (well she's at least two years old from what we can ascertain from her previous "owners"). She appears to be blind in at least one, if not both eyes and deaf as well. We also suspect that she may not be quite "all there" in her mind. She sways and shakes her head quite often for no apparent reason (i.e. she'll just be lying there, then start shaking her head) and acts in a way I find difficult to explain, which I have never seen before in my life. In addition to all this, she has a large, inoperable tumour one her lower stomach, stretching across to her back right leg. It literally is huge. She can't get around very easily because of it and can't clean herself properly either, so I have to help her with that.
Is there anything I can do for her, or give her that will make her more comfortable/help her in anyway. I know I can't get rid of the tumour, but if I could at least slow it down, or stop it, then I might be able to give her a little bit of time on earth where she can be happy. She doesn't seem ready to leave. She's fought for so long already to get this far.

Deedee left for the bridge last night.
Rest well little one, you deserve it more than most.

She smells like melon. She ate some before she left. She has a bit of juice on her chin still.
