Newbie here...Looking for a new baby in SC

Hey I'm new here. I live in Georgetown SC I have been looking for a new female rat friend. I had 2 awhile back that passed away a couple of years ago from old age and was in a pet store and there in a cage for snake food was 2 agouti females with the most beautiful marking of course I couldnt leave them there so they came home with me and are now the pets of my 2 sons. They have not been tamed scared of your hands because of being roughly handle picked up by the tail ect... They are making wonderful progress now though and willing get into your hand as long as you dont take them out the cage yet. Of course this has really made me want a new ratty friend of my own and have been looking everywhere but can not find one any where close to where I live. If anyone knows of an breeder or somteone that has some for adoption close or that will be coming close this way please let me know. How far as you willing to go to pick them up? The Georgia RMCA chapter has many rescues that are in need of homes all around the state of Georgia (and occasionally in SC). There is a large group of both males and females in the Augusta/Lincolnton area currently in foster that will be needing placement. The foster has been working with them and bringing them back up to good health. Additionally, there are 5 baby males around the Atlanta area and there is 1 older female as well. As far as breeders, I can suggest one in CHarleston who I have been talkign with and has some litters coming up or you can look at my rattery (www.pxrats.com) depending on how far you can go to pick up. I am unfamiliar with where Georgetown is though. I believe that there is also a rescue group in the carolinas but I don't have that info so hopefully someone will post here about them. Good luck!
