What the deuce!

« on: August 16, 2006, 09:27:23 PM »

Well I guess it's time to announce my candidacy for President of the United States...no wait...
Now, seriously. I am going to start breeding under the mentorship of Amber at Pymatuning Valley Rattery - PVR.
I am going to work with lines from Odd Fellows Rattery, Curiosity Rats and PVR.

I am located in Parkersburg, West Virgina, along the Ohio border. Pretty close to Kentucky, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
I will be working at first with "safe" lines at first - no high whites or hairless. I should see agouti, fawn, himi and possibly blues. I'll also have rex, double rex, dwarf and dumbos. First litter is going to be mid/late October and I am taking reserves now.

I may only breed 1 or 2 litters a year until I get established. I guess it's one of those things only time will tell.

Some of you may have found my site already, just clicky on my logo in my signature and it will take you there.
I have some tweaking to do and I'm going to add info pages, ect. It's a work in progress that I should have completed over the next few days. I tried to make the site like I like a website; easy to read and navigate with colors easy on the eyes. The font is being difficult though, I need to adjust that. Well, that's all I have for now  Smiley

Good luck!  I look forward to seeing pictures of them all as you get growing and lamenting living far away.  I would love dwarf ratties.

I've "tweak'd" my website and changed the first breeding. Breeding will be in Early Oct.

OFR Rockin' Roscoe x CU Aydanne over the Moon

Expecting litter to have dumbo and standard ears.

Roscoe is Standard Eared Himilayan and carries Dumbo, Black, American Blue.

Aydanne is Dumbo Eared Fawn Capped with Moon Shaped Headspot and carries
Siamese, Blue, RED and Pearl.

All babies will carry dwarf.

Colors :
Black, Agouti, Seal Point Siamese
with a possiblity for American Blue, Blue Agouti and Blue Pointed Siamese.

Markings will likely be variberk, capped, bareback and self.
Good chance for head spots and split caps. All will have standard fur.

Pedigrees are available on the website for both Roscoe and Aydanne.

Email me at rats@seeingstarsrattery.com to be put on the waiting list or for any more information!

My mentor, Amber, helped me with a few things (the rex and the dwarf)
I fixed the info, I don't want to mislead anyone.
Thanks, Amber.

Hi all! I haven't posted forever but I'm still around!

I had a few attempts to breed Roscoe to Olivia but she has not become pregnant. +
(I did think she was pregnant but she got chubby from all the extra food!! Little Faker!)

I've updated my website and have lots of new ratties coming into the rattery and several planned litters!!

I'll be adding new ratties from Rat Girl of PVR, Pirattery and Mini Rebels Rattery!!!

I have 3 litters planned from November to January, but more will be added based on requests.

I have tried 3 breedings from my dwarf male Roscoe to 2 different females in late November and then in early December. Unfortunately, Roscoe is sterile and he was my only pedigreed male that was old enough to breed in the beginning. I did get 4 males and 2 females from PVR in early December. I put my boy Bugger with my girl Suni today and lots of love is in the air! Babies should be here on the first week of Feb. All of my kids from PVR are awesome, both in personality and health. I'm glad my first litter will be out of PVR lines.

Bugger is a dumbo ear'd, standard fur'd, agouti berkshire (slightly variberk really) boy with a tiny lightning blaze on the end of his nose and a small headspot.

Suni is a dumbo ear'd, standard fur'd, fawn self.

Suni should have mostly agouti and fawn babies but also a chance for American blue and blue agouti.
All babies will be standard fur'd and dumbo ear'd hopefully they'll have some cute markings like their daddy.

I will transport to Northeastern Va, Northwestern Ky, Eastern OH and most of WV. First 50 miles are free and then we can negotiate the cost for me to transport depending on how many miles I will need to travel.
