Morning pics before a sad vet run. Sad
I found #14 today.    Shocked 2   She had 2 of the babies off on their own and they were cold but still wriggly and complaining.  I cleaned out the cage and put carefresh down, removed the box since I found it on a baby...omg.  Bronny's rearranging again.
Bronling in hand

Group of 13 before #14 was found...I still like the #14 since its the day of my birth (Jan. 14).

PEW baby?

Closeup of some Bronlings...

Is the turqoise dark enough for good pics?  I thought it would show off their tiny pink selves well.  Tongue

Let me know and I will try something else...I think I have a dark brown fleece here as well. Grin

well, of course it is just a suggestion. you can also use an old tshirt or bedsheet or whatever you like. basically, just pick a fabric you like and stick with it. i just wish i had used the same fabric for all the pictures of my last litter like i had for this picture.

What healthy looking babies! For my "surprise" babies I didn't use Carefresh or any other bedding because it kept sticking to the babies! I just used lots of old linens--anything soft, but found fleece to be the best. It's soft, warm and comfortable and they don't get stuck in it like they do with some fabrics. Big Lots has blankets for $3.00 a piece. Baby blankets work well too. It looks like Mama B is doing a great job! How exciting!

lol not in the least!  i think it's cute and i love the fact that it's caught on!  maybe some day it will be perfectly normal for every one to add the "ling" to their litters, and no one will even remember where it came from!

Ack! They're so cute!!! I just wanna steal em all!

This is so not fair.. I don't care that I said taking pics of them daily would be fabulous. it's just not fair for you to have all that cuteness to yourself!  Tongue

They are adorable, and Bronny's doing a fantabulous job as a momma.

Congrats grandma (*runs*)

Can't wait to watch them grow up.  That's one of the best parts of this forum. Smiley

If you don't want to watch the Bronlings grow up then I would stop reading now.    sad3

I just wanted people to experience with me the joy of the next 5 weeks!  Its an unfortunate happening in my situation but I have decided to enjoy it for all its worth.    Grin
Okay so on with the show...

I have decided I may be insane, or freaking tired or something.  After counting 14 the other day, I now only count 13 again!!!!  I just checked my pic of the group and this pic was taken before I found that last little one.  I sifted thru the bedding try to find it...nothing.  Is it possible the little one was ill and Mom took care of things when it died? OR that I am going insane with lack of sleep?  I wonder.   icon_scratch
I also attempted to sex them with the AFRMA Sexing 101 website as my reference Tongue  Bloody difficult, as it is a tiny amount of difference between them when you have no clue what you are doing...I will attempt again at 7 days old (next pics on the website..haha)  I *think* I have 6 boys and 7 girls, and a mix of colours since they are starting to show through.    blob9    Okay on to the good stuff...pics!!
Day 2 of their lives...

The boys I think...

The girls I think...

Note the little girl on the bottom with the pink on her muzzle.  Bruising, birth defect?

Okay the girls wanted to show off their variety of colours...am I guessing these right?

Self?

Variberk?  (its more obvious in person)

Some of the light-eyed ratlings have a dark spot near/over their shoulder blades..is this a marking or translucent skin?  LOL
