What the deuce!

« on: August 27, 2006, 01:30:52 PM »

I have a co-worker that has 30 gerbils. The pet store gave her sister mixed sexes and they are now out of control.
She wants to help her find homes for the rest. My co-worker wants to keep 2 of the same sex. We have 2 co-workers that are going to take 3 each. I am planning on keeping 3 of the same sex. This leaves us with 15 gerbils to re-home.

We won't have any cages to provide. My co-work believes she has them separated by sex, most are young though. She also has them separated into groups that get along. She only had one incident of fighting.

I live in Parkersburg, WV and I am on the border of Ohio. She brought 3 into work for one person to pick up. They are gorgeous, 2 blue gray and 1 brown with black "swirls" throughout her fur. I'll post pics around 1130pm EST tonight. She is going to bring me the rest on Tuesday 8/29/06 or Wednesday 8/30/06. I will have a better idea of numbers /sexes at that time.

PM me or email me at gerbils@seeingstarsrattery.com

Thanks,
Stacey

There are blue-grey ones, brown-black mottled, solid black, solid white and solid brown available. More pics Tuesday night.

I love how the light fur on her lip gives her a "bucktooth" appearance!

Boys :
1 Himi - off white with brown nose and tail
1 Blue
3 Blacks
1 Pew

Girls :
3 Blues
1 Golden
1 Black
1 Black with brown in it's fur

I'm keeping 5 boys and 2 girls (I am keeping the ones that have had injuries from fighting/overcrowding, one boy only has 3 legs. It may have been a birth defect because there is no sign of trauma/wound/scar)
I have all the girls separated from the boys, so there is a possiblity for some pregnancies. A couple of the
boys had small "stuff" and they were still in with the girls.

Most are young, I only have 2 that are big. They were jumpy but none of them tried to bite me. Most were easy to catch and let me hold them.

I'll check them again on 8/30/06, to make sure my numbers are right. It's hard to count gerbils when your tired lol

I have 4 people on the waiting list, so they are going fast Cheesy.

**update again - A Black and a Burmese one has been adopted. 3 more people to go on the waiting list  Cheeky**

Pics!
