Urgent! Two young pigs in Maine need a home
Last year, the family's young son entered a pig scramble at the Fryeburg Fair. He ended up with a pig and the family added another to keep the first one company. Unfortunately, the town has now objected to the family's plans for keeping the two pigs on land that has recently been flooded. The family is looking for a safe, compassionate and loving home for these two pigs.

If you can help, please contact Rebecca Freeman at email rebeccarooni@yahoo.com.

(not that I can take any pigs, but....)

Do you know what type of pigs (the care for a pot belly is different than the care for a can get very huge regular size pig) and gender of said squeekers?

I don't know what kind of pigs they are, but I don't think they are potbelly pigs.

I've picked up a baby pig, and it was one of the scariest things I've ever done!. It's like you're killing them.

Am I the only one that's held a baby pig and it hasn't made a sound?

I'm moving this to Adoptions, it's rightful place, but will leave the chat intact ... but, unfortunately, Adoptions is not the place for chat!  Soooo anything else after this ... reply only if you can help with the adoption.  Thanks!

Other than the Humane Society, have you checked with any other farms near you? There may be some independent, single family farms close by. I'm thinking these are probably regular pigs also... being in a "scramble"... so you can expect them to get 600 to 800 lbs. very easily, if not more. (I grew up on a pig farm  Tongue)

Good luck finding homes for them.
