vigerous head shaking

Ok.. I've been holding out on you guys. I adopted two beautiful girls from Chesteroo a couple weeks ago. Pictures later I promise but I'm worried about one of them right now.
Last Tuesday I took my girls to their first vet visit. They both got clean bills of health, no respitory noises.
A couple days later (definately this weekend) I noticed one was shaking her head vigerously often. I cannot figure out what is causing it. Her ear channel doesn't seem swollen and there is no visable discharge or mites or discoloration. What could the possible problem be? I'm going to call the vet tomorrow but I though I would put a post out here and try to find out what I'm dealing with.

In my experience, it's been an ear infection that makes them shake their heads like that. Is she scratching her ear or head more than normal? Does she show any other signs of illness, such as being tired, or turning in circles or cocking her head at an angle? I guess it's possible she just has something in it that she's trying to get out, but I would watch it very carefully for the next 24 hours. If you see any other symptoms of ear infection, I'd take her in (again). Ear infections can get bad very quickly - but I don't think there are enough symptoms yet to say she definitely has one.

I'm worried that she does have an ear infection. She is also scratching at her ear. She does not have a head tilt or is circling and she certainly isn't lathargic! Off to the vet I must go because I know how serious ear infections can be.
