I have put together a mix that contains;
  • Natures Promise: Honey Whole Grain Cereal with crunchy fiber twigs, soy protien grahams and Honey Puffs
  • Stop & Shop All natural lowfat Granola with raisins
  • Banana chips, raisins, peanuts, papaya, pineapple, dates, cranberries, almonds and pepitas.

Is this good if not is there anything i should add?

Where are you getting the dried fruit at?  I'd just be worried about the sugar content.  You can also look up suebee mix - it's great and easy to make and tweek a little.

Granola might be a little high in fat for a staple too, to be honest. Yeah, if the dried fruit isn't dehydrated or dried without sugars (sold in many coops or natural foods stores) I'd be worried. I'm not a fan of nuts as a staple either.

Nature's Promise cereals are good. I buy my cereal based on the amount of vitamins, minerals, protein and and soluble fiber it has. My favorite cereals are Health Valley Heart Healthy and Empower! (both high in vitamins), Peace Cereal Heart Goodness, Kashi 7 Grain puffed grain cereal and Kashi Heart to Heart.

I give my kiddos HempPlus Granola on yogurt and Mother's Peanut Butter Bumpers as a treat sometimes too. Smiley

I also like to include Just Veggies dehydrated veggies and sugar-free preserved cranberries for urinary tract health. And flax seeds. And wheat germ.

Yeah, can you tell I'm a health food nut? Yellow Cute Laugh

I got it from the super market and i made sure i got the kind without added sugar.  as for the nuts there arent to many in the fruit mix i have only seen one or two.  The granola is the low fat all natural kind i watched out for the fat content of it.

How often are you planning on giving the mix to your rats?
