PVR Raja a Mink Variegated Rex Dumbo with Lightening Blaze and JM Joe Perry an Agouti Self Dumbo, were on honeymoon for a week.  I have been so excited about this litter for about three months, and after one failed attempt to breed them, i am happy to say that we have a *Big* belly!   Raja is due the 11th at the earliest, so i expect her to get even larger.   Both of these rats have excellent type, so i expect a wonderful litter.  I'm looking forward to seeing how well their ears turn out, considering both parents have GREAT dumbo ears.  Grin

I'm sure some of you remember Nebula's litter and my camera breaking.  Well, I have a camera now, and you can expect me to share lots of pic's this time around!

she is SO adorable.
makes me even happier that i'm on the waiting list for this litter  Grin!
i'm going into baby overload, with raja being due any day, and olivia (SSR's girl) is due today i believe! maybe i'll finally get my babies!   love5

Raja is HUGE! She started to nest yesterday but has not finished quite yet.  It might not be for another couple of days.  I am guessing either tomorrow or Thursday.

Raja is sooo beautiful. I love her markings and Im a sucker for blazes as well as dumbos (but i don't have one of those yet) Can't wait to see the babies

My computer died an unexplainable, sudden, and unexpected death!  Cry  Cry  Cry
Right now i am attempting to steal my mothers old computer.  Its ancient, but i'm hoping it will work until i can get mine fixed (which i dont even know if its fixable!)

But anyway, no babies yet! BUT, before i left she was very restless.  She is huge, although i havent been able to get any pictures yet today, for obvious reasons! I didnt want to leave her, but this was the only chance i had to come get this old computer from my mom, because my car is also dead Roll Eyes

I'm not having the best of luck right now, so i'm just hoping Raja brightens my day with a nest full of happy eepers when i get home!  Grin

No babies yet.  I'm not expecting her to last through the day, my guess is she'll have them by this evening.  She can't hold them in there forever!

I can feel the little babies bouncing around in there, so they want to come out!  Yellow Cute Laugh

YAY! more than 12?? that's a BIG litter (right? i don't have much experience with litters)!
and she did have them on friday the 13th! if you don't have a theme already, it should be like.. something to do with the day, since it's such a big supersticion.

I get to tell the baby news!!

Raja had some difficulty at the end of her labor and then didn't want to nurse the babies at first. Amber was up all night keeping the babies warm and gave them some KMR. Eventually Raja's momma instincts kicked in and she's taking care of all the babies. They are nursing and have milk bellies.  binkybaby

7 girls, 6 boys (tentative count cause Amber's had about 2 hours sleep lol) 13 babies on Friday the 13th!!
