Hi all!  Last month I got a litter of adorable little undernourished babies and their stick thin mother.  I lost the Mom and one of the babies but the rest are now happy little darlings ready for new loving homes.  I have 10 boys (3 are dumbos) and 2 girls.  They are currently appx. 7 weeks old but due to their early problems all of them are appx. 1/2 of normal size and I'm not sure they will ever catch up to become big squishies.  I think they will be petite for life.  I will post pictures later today (or soon) I hope!
Boys - 1 agouti dumbo, 2 black hooded dumbos, 1 black/white varigated, 1 blue hooded, 1 strange light brown colour, 1 is mostly white with 3 small grey patches on him.  My favourite is the littles boy, a brown & white varigated who is currently only 70 grams.  Girls - 1 blue hooded, 1 white with 3 grey patches (almost a twin to the boy!).
I also have several other normal sized juvenile rats.  Boys - 1 PEW, 1 Argente, 1 Blue, 1 VERY light beige, 1 black/white hooded, one white/grey.  Girls - 1 Blue, one black/white hooded.  The juveniles are not all related, it is from 3 different drop offs but all happen to be within 3 weeks in age.
I am in Barrie, Ontario but can drop off withing the GTA.  On November 5th I will be leaving for Orlando, Florida in an RV and would be able to drop of a baby to any point in between, ie. Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, etc.
More info and pictures to follow soon!!

Do you know any of the genetics of either blue girl? Or family health?

Here are some pictures - sorry for the poor quality.  If I had to make a living as a photographer I'd be starving in the street!

Some of the juveniles:

OK, back to the camera to try again!   (And again, and again, and again, .......)

They all look great. Is the one in the 4 and the ones in the six pics male? I would be very intrested, my little guy would love some friends to keep him company. I've got a R-695(martins cage) on its way, that will need some  Ratty Smiley to play in. I'm in Phenix City, AL. right next to Columbus, GA. I would be able to meet you  on your way to Orlando, FL. so you don't have get out of your plan route or you can pass by.

Only the first picture is a girl (although I have a boy who is her twin).  The rest are all boys. The bottom 3 pictures are some older, regular size rats.

You mentioned that you have both a "mini" blue girl, and another blue girl who is a bit older.

Could you get some more pics of these girls, and tell me about how thier health has been so far. If you know about parent's health, that would be very helpful as well. Please also give me information on how often they are being handled, and about thier temperments. Pretty much as much as you could about the blue girls.

I live in NJ, by the way, and am looking for a companion for my black hooded girl.

I would be really intrested in the little guy in the 4th pic(with the blaze), the cream one in the 6th pic. Is there anything that I need to do or step that I need to take to adopt this guys?

I live in Florida, Orlando is South East of me..like2 hours 2 mins or something away according to yahoo maps. If you guys could bring her to me on your way...I'd LOVE to take in the little girl "white with 3 grey patches ", as you described her. Soo...cute! I have rats at home ofourse so she would have girls to move in with eventually, so no worries there. Over the last couple of months, I've lost a couple of girls..so my girlies would love a new friend. I want her! So what do we have to do?

Hi,

I am in Raleigh, NC and very interested in your rattie-kids.  Which ones are left unspoken for?  I have a huge crush on the blues & grey/whites.

Hi everyone!  Thank you so much for your interest and replies.  I haven't responded because I am busily trying to figure out who I can actually go to.  Unfortunately I am not able to go very far out of my way - I only have 2 days to get down to Florida and 2 to get back so long detours are not really possible.  I will be going one way via: Detroit and the other way via: Buffalo.  The Detroit route has me on I-75 most of the while the Buffalo route puts me on I-77 and I-95.  I haven't picked up my trip-tik yet so don't know for sure what cities I'll be passing through.
A lot of the responses have been for the girls but only have 2 of them and since I'd like to keep the # of rats in my (borrowed) RV to a minimum they will probably go the the closest person.

I'll try to reply in person soon and am also working on getting some more pictures!

I think I already messaged this to you in PM, but I'd be willing to travel a little ways, or offer gas money for you 'cause I know it could be a pain in the butt :x Anything to make it more convenient!

Hope all goes well!

I live in central NJ, in Newark. I could drive a bit to meet you at a rest stop or something. Smiley I'd just really like some info on thier history and how this litter came about and the health so I can speak to Sophia (my roommate) about it, as we don't want to risk getting another iffy-healthed girl. (Cashew has spooked us enough.)

That's true... I do quarantine new rats, but a little history would be a great thing to know!

... I'm pretty excited about this little boy, I hope this pulls through!

I second the dumbo question.  I'm in Dearborn, MI, which is only about 10 minutes from Detroit.

Hi All!

Just a quick note to say the girls are spoken for.  Sorry but there were only 2 baby girls!  I still have a yong black/white hooded girl and another one who was blue but over the past two weeks she has started turning a brownish colour, she's sort of a blue/agouti now.  (Age is appx. 3 1/2 months.)

Also, two of my dumbo boys will be picked up this Friday, which leaves one mini dumbo boy.  However I expect to be getting a PEW dumbo very shortly.  He is close in age to my babies but is a normal size.

Sorry I haven't been communicating as much as I should - I've been working overtime and the days just seem to melt away.  Trying to figure out who goes where has my head spinning.  Best laid plans you know.....

I live in Boca Raton Florida but will be in Orlando on the 7th of Nov.  If you still have one or two rats that need a home and you'll be in orlando by then, I have 2 social boys that would love some new friends.

I am leaving Sunday morning November 5th and want to be in Orlando by Wednesday afternoon November 8th.  I've allowed lots of time to make stops here and there but would not be willing to go too far off I-75.  You must be willing to meet me at a convenient spot or town along the highway.

This is a list of major cities I will be driving through as I go down I-75:

Detroit, Michigan
Toledo, Ohio
Dayton, Ohio
Cincinnati, Ohio
Lexington, Kentucky
Knoxville, Tennessee (planning to take Oak Ridge by-pass)
Planning to visit the "Lost Sea" in Sweetwater, TN
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Atlanta, Georgia
Macon, Georgia
Valdosta, Georgia
Gainesville, Florida
Ocala, Florida
Last Stop Orlando, Florida

These are the 8 week old boy rats I still have available:

2 Dumbo PEW's
1 Black/white hooded dumbo
1 Brown Blazed

1 sort of brown - the one on the right

1 Blue/Agouti
1 Black/White varigated  (VERY cute!  Black face, white nose!)

I also have 5 boys, 4 months old:
1 PEW
1 Argente self

1 Agouti Hooded

1 white/grey patch with stripe down his back

1 VERY light beige self with red eyes

Sorry about the bad pictures.  I'm one crappy photographer!!

OK, that's all for now.  I am going home via I-95 & I-77 but I don't think I should keep the babies with me till then - the RV might get hot while we are attending events down in Florida.  (We are going to the World Cup of Paintball at Disney.)

The last boy pictured is quite friendly.  I'm a bad mother and show favouritism to the prettier of my babies. Tongue
I just got the two dumbo PEW's today so I'm not very familiar with them but I have to say that they were with Unglued who is a great caregiver.  When I was handiling them at her house today they were very good boys.  One was very content to sit on my shoulder.  And they behaved like gentlemen on the ride home to my house.

Where did the PEW boys come from?

My friend and I are both extremely interested in those two boys.  Can you get some pictures?
