Oh, and if you could PM me your cellphone number, Popcorn, just so Blackthorn and I have it just in case, that'll be great  Smiley

According to my maps it is called the Southland Center and it is on Eureka Rd. just east of Telegraph.

I have a problem about timing!  I've been told that since we've already turned our clocks back you guys are an hour ahead of us.  Is this true?  If it is I'm going to have to try and leave my place an hour earlier and put the pedal to the medal.

Is meeting outside Borders ok? ...Ooor we could meet IN the Petsmart/Petco down the street. But you may not want to change plans Cheesy Come to think of it, you shouldn't be so hard to find in an RV.. if it helps, I'll be driving a red Sunfire.

And we did turn our clocks D:

Tonight will be my last posts before I leave for Florida!

Detroit girls - I will meet you at the Southdale Center outside Borders, OK?  I will phone at least one of you when I am leaving Windsor to let you know I'm on my way.  Keep your fingers crossed, light a candle or pray that I get over the border without being hassled!! I will be driving a white and blue Roadtek camper van.  It's a lot smaller than I expected so I had to revise my cage plans.  All 5 of my babies will be in one large hamster cage, Alexander will be sharing a hamster cage with the 2 PEW Dumbos.  So that means a couple of you will have to bring a cage or box or something with you to put these babies in to.  Sorry but there is no way I can put 5 cages in this camper!

Kimmiekins - See you at the Waffle House.

Deb45044, it's possible your boys will be in a box by the time I get to you!  I sure hope you have a cage for them!

Mayabear - See you on Tuesday in Fort Valley!

Well, the transport's started without a hitch!

Elizabeth made it through the Canada/US border with no problems, and is on her way through Ohio right now.  Standingonthefringes, Blathorn, and myself, have all gotten our rats!  Just thought I'd let everyone know the good news.

Hi guys!    I'm reporting in from an overpriced internet cafe in Kississime so I'll make it short!

I managed to be a bit late for a few of you but all went well I think.  I'm so happy that everyone got to their new mom's and dad's safely.  I was really worried about getting them over the border - I was afraid I was going to have to leave them in Windsor!

I hope Alexander and the two PEW dumbos are doing OK.  After going for that flight I was a bit worried they might be hurt and wouldn't show the effects until sometime later.  Mind you I think Alexander rode it out OK since he was in that little box surrounded by all the paper towels he stole from the boys.  I miss the cheeky little bugger!!  Blue Dumbo Big Eyes

So now I'm off to sit by the pool while the boys watch paintball.  Boring!
I think I'm going to go to Cape Canaveral tomorrow if the weather is nice. icon_sunny sunny

I'm glad to hear that you made it alright. I hope the weather is allot better than it hear. The two boys are doing fine, I've renamed them Cash and Ace. I'll get some pictures later of them. Thank you once again for them and hope that you have fun down in Florida.

The PEW dumbo boy and Alexander are doing well health-wise!  I specify regarding their health since Alexander is, well... a terror.  He's extremely aggressive toward me, and was fighting with the PEW boy horribly until I finally removed him from the cage since I literally feared for his life.  He bites very hard -- drawing blood every time, and is going to be neutered ASAP (either this weekend or next Thursday).  He doesn't let me touch him at all without hunching his back and attempting to lunge and bite.  I've renamed him Jabberwocky, since that's a fictional fang-bearing monster  Wink  And boy, does he fit that name ever so well.  After his neuter, if he is still just as vicious toward me and other rats, I'll have no choice but to put him down  Sad  By the way, I gave him a bath the first night he was home, first soaking him in olive oil and then rubbing it in for a good five minutes, and then washed him with four different dishsoaps.  Needless to say, his skin now is stark white and his fur is gleaming!

The PEW dumbo on the other hand, whom I'm still looking up names for, is absolutely wonderful.  I couldn't be more happy with him  Smiley

Our Nibbles (named that because he nibbled me gently in the car when I couldn't resist petting him) is doing wonderful. He's a perfect mix of hyper baby and chill baby. LOL. Thanks so much! I posted pictures under Rat Tails & Mug Shots.

Enjoy Florida! I miss it. Lived in Miami for almost 5 years until a few months ago. I miss the weather!

OH MY GOD!  sad3 Hearing this has made me literally sick to my stomach!!  Alexander was an absolute angel with me.  When I took him out of his cage he was absolutely docile and once he was out he usually headed strait for my shoulder but sometimes would just hang out on my lap and brux.  I fell in love with him from the first day and as you know parting with him was very difficult - I was considering not doing it at all.  I thought allowing him to be adopted out was for the best because he was going to a home where he would get the time and attention that I can't give.  On the trip to Detroit he spent the day in that small hamster cage with the two PEW boys and the worst thing he did was steal their paper towels for inside his box.  He must be somehow stressed from being passed from home to  home to home within such a short time period - or maybe having that cage go crashing to the ground did something to his psyche.  Please don't give up on him.  If for some reason the neuter does not give the desired result I will take him back - even if it means driving to Detroit to come and get him.

I really can't deal with the thought of his being killed  tearyeyed when the reason I took him in the first place was to save him from that fate.

On the other hand I'm glad to hear the rest of my immigrants are doing well.

There's no way I'd euthanize him without giving him a chance.  I've never put down an animal in the past without there being inoperable/incurable medical issues that depletes quality of life, or it was just time for them to go, so rest assured the fact that I'm even CONSIDERING putting him down (after he's neutered and I try to work with him more) isn't something that I'm light-heartedly throwing out there.  I'm almost 100% sure that what's happening is purely hormonal and will be corrected after his snipping.  Why/how these behavior issues didn't happe
