Huron Valley Rat Rescue has coordinated a transport from Ypsilanti, Michigan to Rome, New York!  Many rats will be finding homes with several dedicated rattie lovers, some of which are our own Ratsrule members! Smiley  I am posting the details of the transport, so that perhaps someone else wants to adopt along the way!  The first two legs of the transport should take place November 4th.

Here are the routes scheduled:

Ypsilanti, MI to Findlay, OH, on to Akron, OH
Findlay, OH to Cincinnati, OH
Akron, OH to Pittsburgh, PA
Pittsburgh, PA to Erie, PA
Erie, PA to Buffalo, NY
Buffalo, NY to Rochester, NY
Rochester, NY to Rome, NY
Rome, NY to Albany, NY

Check out our adorable ratties!!!!

We do not currently have any males for adoption, but there are lots of girls waiting for forever homes.  HVRR is taking in several owner surrenders this week as well, so the list of adoptables will probably change.

I live in Buffalo- depending on when the train is moving, I may be able to help drive between Erie and Rochester

Went to look at rats, but the site was not working?!?  Could you post some pics here?

I would prefer a male, but I could probably take one of the beige female bubs. Rex?

Please update before leaving! Thanks  Blue Dumbo Smile

Are the descriptions for the litter supposed to be exactly the same for each girl? Do you have any photos of them? When I pick a pet its because it "calls out" to me, with the eyes... I just see it and can't resist.

For the younger litter, you mean, ~Lin?  At this point, they're all fairly hard to tell apart.  Once they get a little older, individual pictures will be taken and their descriptions will become more personalized  Smiley  I'm resizing new pictures of that litter as we speak for Blackthorn, so let me know if you'd like to see them when I'm done!

Oooo!  Pics are in the works right now.  The descs are the same for now, cuz I've been too swamped to do more than the bare minimum on the page. >.<  But the rex girlies are just the sweetest little darlings!

Also, if anyone along the transportation route would like some hammocks, let me know!  This way, you wouldn't have to pay for shipping or anything like that  Smiley

I may be interested in one of the beige rex girlies... I have a weakness for rex. But Id like to see photos, I like to let the eyes just choose me.

Edit: I have a friend that lives in Garden City MI. I knew that was near Ypsilanti so I asked her. She said its only 30 minutes away, and she could come get the rat and then I could pick it up from her maybe. Its just I would have to drive all the way to Garden City for that! So its a possibility...

Hoooray, the transport went through!  Thank you to everyone who helped, adopted, or sent us positive vibes!    We're breathing a lot easier now that it's over!

Now I'm just looking forward to lots of pictures and updates about the 10 kiddos who found loving homes! (hint hint) Wink
