So they're not the most amazing pics but I thought I'd post anyhow. BTW I was at the dollar tree and I discovered the most amazing thing to hold down my fleece! For just a dollar I bought some elastic clips that are used to hold down the cloth for an ironing board and it's just the perfect size. Just thought I'd share. I don't have them on these pics since I just started using them. :-)

And here's my little Cody posing for the camera...well sorta.

Oohh, very nice setup!  The fleece on the floor of the top level... baby blanket from Target?  I think that's the same one I had!  As seen here

Those hammocks look familiar  Cheeky

You know what? That is exactly the same fleece blanket that you have, but I got lucky enough to get mine from the dollar tree. And yes those are indeed very nice hammocks.  Grin

Lucky!  I paid something like $10-$15 for mine.  It's a rare occasion when I can pass up a heart print AND pastel colors  Tongue

Yup!  Thanks!  I found it at Lowe's.  It was a little pricey (24.99), but it covered both the top and bottom trays with a little extra rug left over.

Speaking of rugs; if anyone gets to Ikea, they have the woven rugs for 2.99 with all different color stripes that fit PERFECTLY in the liners of FN's!  And wash after wash they hold up!  They are PERFECT and CHEAP!  My two favorite things

I'm going to have to make a trip back.  I stopped on my way home last night (it was so great to meet you OhRats!), and picked up a couple of stuffed guinea pigs for the car dashboard.  They were right next to the stuffed rats!  I'm lovin' IKEA.  Picking up rugs next time for sure.  Thanks for the heads up.   Smiley

I would love to get a Ferret Nation but the cheapest I can find one in the UK is £175 that includes P&P  Shocked 2 and it alawys seems to be sold out  . Baring that in mind I can not justify the price though when I get just over £200 a month to live on  Embarrassed. Mine will just have to deal with their bookcase conversion that should be finished before my newest two are out of quarantine in just under two weeks.

It just dawns on me today that I NEVER posted pics of my FN.  Well, my 5 boys had the full two levels by themselves but I recently acquired a ferret who is living in the bottom level.  I just took this pic today right after cleaning before putting EVERYTHING back in there....they are spoiled rotten with toys lol.  Oh and sorry about the little poopies on the ground....that's what happens when you have babies in there lol.  Oh and I still do use the liners they put holes in because if I don't then they will just put new holes in it Smiley

How are they doing with a ferret in the bottom level?

I will post pics of my hardly decorated cage (I have LAZY boys)

Okay I looked on my photobucket account and I realized that I only have 1 pic and it's not very good.  It wasn't even completely decorated....LOL

I will post pics later...I just got new fleece.

They are doing absolutely great with the little fert down below.  It's not even like it's there.  I don't think they know what it is.  Both the rats and the ferret are babies.....There is a 1/2x1/2 inch hardward cloth between the two levels and the full plastic tray is on top and the one with the cut down is down below.  There is NO WAY they ferret can get to them and NO WAY they can get to the ferret.  I know in my pic both level doors were open but the ratties were in their cage and my hubby had the ferret in the other room.  I am going to be EXTRA safe with the whole ferret/rat thing..I know what could happen.

Ooh, like what?  Cheeky I know this wasn't directed at me, but since I've never had rats before and am going to be getting a couple little boys soon, I was wondering what kinds of things you guys put in their cages that they really enjoy. (besides the usual igloos, hammocks, and such)

Here is a few links.... the hanging mesh baskets aren't the right link, but they are just like that but shorter (3 tiered) and cheaper....like 1.99 or something....and I posted links of mobiles that the girls love to play with in their cages....

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50078242 - its like this, but smaller and cheaper and they come in blue and lime green.

Also, the rag rugs that were linked early are perfect for FN's

There are some odds and ends that are just there, its fun to look there!

I redecorated mine in an Army theme a couple weeks ago,and I'm just now getting around to posting the pics. It's different and better now,but I don't have any new pics. It's sure gonna look bland next to everyone else's bright colors! But,we're a military family, and so are our ratties!Just the boys ,though. The girls can't have anything nice because they'd tear it all up.I want to publically thank my husband for the use of his helmet(took me forever to convince him,you wouldn't believe how expensive those things are)and for giving the boys :his nice, soft socks to line everything with, his old beret, the ammo bags, his patrol cap and cammo blanket, and my son for giving them the legs of some cammo pants to use as tubes.I can't wait until I can finally talk hubby into giving the boys a pair of his Army boots! They love playing in them durring free range time!
I think this time decorating is a great example of how you can make  comfy, cute cage decor out of stuff around the house. And,the rats love it more than they did all of the expensive stuff that I bought.I was going to switch back and forth with all of the store bought tubes, hammocks, igloos and big octopus thingie, but they use all of the sleeping areas in here now,and before they always slept out in the open.
And,I wanted to tell everyone that they absolutely LOVE the ammo bags the most, because I know they make things just like them for rats.I think I've heard them called sleep pockets. But,everyone should try these. My guys just can't get enough of them, and they look absolutely ADORABLE poking their little heads out!
Sorry this was so long!I was a little excited .And proud of myself, too! Grin

 Cheesy

I redecorated my girls half really cute, too, but I haven't imported and uploaded the pics yet.Theirs has to be all cheap and disposable because they chew up everything..I got everything at a thrift store:3 hats for hanging sleeping pockets,a big pillow for a weird but comfy hammock, blanket(enough to make 4 sets!)for covering the shelves and floors,2 baskets for little hiding/sleeping spots, and fleece for 1 big hammock anda whole buttload of scraps to make the baskets, hammocks and sleeping pockets more comfy and easier to clean.I spent 9 dollars!!!It's pretty cute, too!I'll put the pics here tomorrow.Again, sorry this is so long, but I thought it might give others some ideas.
