Mine looks so sad compared to you all! Do your rats use those toys? Mine just push anything they can sit in or eat into a corner. Except the bucket of fun toy.

My setup:

In my office:

The triple hammock:

The roll ball:

I love all the pics here I got so many ideas! Thanks!

My girls love anything that they can hide in, sleep in or stash food in. They don't really like the bird toys or anything. But most of mine are lazy Tongue

I love the triple hammock pic!!

I must say that you all inspired me to get a Ferret Nation.  I actually went through and read all 46 pages and have gotten some great ideas.  Now I just have to wait for it to get here.  Blue Dumbo Big Eyes

I have my girls in a Rat Manor and was planning on buying another since the babies are getting bigger.  However, after reading everything I couldn't order the Ferret Nation fast enough.

I'll admit though that one of my reasons is silly.  I like taking pictures and the totally open front will allow lots of candid shots, without the bars!  So I will definitely be posting pix once we get it all set up.   Blue Dumbo Smile  Thanks again!

I know what you mean, I love to take pics with the doors open and on the FF cage I could through the bars too!

I FINALLY took pics of my FN 141, because I moved my 2 new baby rats (well they're aren't really babies anymore) in to it yesterday with my 2 older boys. Now there are 4 rambunctious rat boys living in there. I love having them in one cage now, and the 141 seems plenty big for all 4 of them.

This is a day after cleaning day, so it's already a little messy:

My batteries were dying so I only managed to get a picture of one level..

I love the new grey fleece. Yay for walgreens- both of those (plain and patterned) were $8! They are doubled over in the pic.. If you cut them there would be enough for both sections.  Blue Dumbo Smile

I love this thread! Everyone has such awesome cages.

Since my rats could get out of the FN, it was being used for storage on the top half, and a crate for my dogs to sleep in on the bottom (they LOVED it!). Anyways, I took out some screws and changed it a little... Now both sections are side by side on the floor. I took out the 2 side pannels, so its one nice, long cage. It worked out almost perfectly, all I need now is a piece of plexi glass cut for the bottom. I now have a 'shelf' for my snake's tank.

I got the idea from the FN somewhere in this thread modified for guinea pigs.  Smiley

Wow! I just read through this entire thread (all 46 pages). It took a couple hours, but it was very enjoyable. You guys have absolutely fantastic cages! Once I get my FN I'll be sure to post.

I have a question; most people have really HUGE cages and I was wondering, do you have 2 different sets of bedding so you can alternate using/washing? Or do you just have one set and have the rat's beddingless for a few hours while the bedding is washed?

^ Thats a tad confusing, sorry!  Blue Dumbo Smile

Most people have many sets  Wink  I have 50+ hammocks and about 35 or so towels, not including the smaller ones for the shelves.  It gets addicting, collecting stuff for rattie cages!

Okay, that's what I thought. Thanks! I'm kinda addicted to sewing lately so I'll have no problem adding some moe hammocks/etc. to the mix.  Blue Dumbo Smile

My cage is pretty darn empty compared to some of yours.  Lips Sealed  My rats arent huge on hammocks anymore for some reason. They STILL haven't used those hammocks since I put them in, and that was 2 days ago. I kept the last ones in their cages for a couple weeks, just for the fact they didn't get used at all, and were still 100% clean.  Yellow Cute Laugh  I need to get more hidey type hammocks like cubes and tubes I guess.

The hammocks I have in right now are no sew ones. I thought they looks neat, so I made a couple.  Grin

And I have two of these no sew rings, but they didn't turn out as well.  Yellow Cute Laugh

Wickedrodent, your cage looks great!  I got a lot of those same blankets when they were on sale at Walgreens a week or so ago.  They had them for $2 apiece!  I think the zebra's my favorite--it looks awesome with those lime-green hammies and things you have--though that might change once I finish the leopard-print set.  Smiley

Deli, Dank, and Endo's cage. Deli is two old to have a two story cage now so I set it up like this. With the two shelves set up like this the ramps arent steep so Deli can get around ^^. The rest of the hammocks are in the wash.

Bandit, Iris, and Buddahs cage. The rest of the hammocks are in the wash.

I've been drooling over this cage for the longest time! Being in Australia it isn't available, until I had a look on ebay and found that someone had made the closest thing to it, if not a replica, the Ferret Territory. I bought it on Saturday night and now all I need to is wait for it to come...

and of course I'm off to Spotlight tomorrow. I'm making it a blue theme as it's my boys cage (already been saving every fabric scrap of blue I can find!) but I was wondering what measurements the shelves are? I need to cut the fabric to size and I've been looking around for something that tells the measurements... I was also wondering if anyone has any closeups on how they tuck the fabric in on the bigger shelves? I've seen some with those paper-clip things (LOL I can't remember what they're called) and some just tucked right under.

Ugh I'm so excited. ^^;

LivingPinCushion -

How do you have the large run around ball attached to your cage?  It looks great!

I bought small chain from walmart in the section where they sell dog chain and then attached two shower hooks to it and just put it through and clip to the top of the cage.

It's been a while    The ratties are downstairs in the office now, for the summer months.  Attic bedrooms don't really do too well when it comes to sun and heat.

I haven't posted pics of my cage for a while. These were taken last tuesday after cleaning. Surprisingly the yellow liners are still in one piece. I think my boy, Teddy, has something against "girly" colors, because everytime I put down anything pink or purple I find huge holes in it the next day. He's a neutered boy, so he's probably trying to cling to every ounce of manhood he can get.

Mines basically the same as before, except different colored fleece, and the ladders have been switched to the front instead of the back.. Plus they inherited a pair of jeans from me.. LOL. The zipper broke, and I couldn't be bothered fixing it, so to the rats it went. They love it.  More hammocks will be added later. I've been pretty lazy when it comes to sewing.  Lips Sealed

Katie was being extremely cute after cleaning (molly is sleeping behind her)

Rex on the other hand, didn't seem to thrilled with all the new pink in his half. I couldn't get him to come out and say hi for a picture. LOL.
