This is a hard decision for me. I'm currently living in a 2 bedroom
apartment so my second bedroom/office is my 'rat rompery' and there has been
plenty of space for everyone, and with my current job I've had more than enough income to take care of them. However, due to family issues, I need to move back to Ohio at the end of May. Since I will be staying with my folks
for a while, there is a lack of space, I will not have a job at that time so my finances will be limited
for a few months. I can afford to keep 3 of my boys but unfortunately I can't take all of them.
(Little Boy is my oldest, he's 2 years, and Razz/Minx have a stronger bond toward me due to some
medical issues they've been through.) The other 4 should be able to rehome to a new owner
more easily.

2. Number of rats - 4 boys, each their own 'pair'. Smokey/Bandit, and
Tazz/Munchkin. I will only adopt each pair together - no lone separations please.

3. Where did these rats come from?  Bought from Petsmart.

4. Approximate birth date(s) / age(s) of rat(s). Smokey and Bandit live
together and are about 10/11 months old. Munchkin and Tazz are 4/5 months
old and live together. Smokey and Bandit have not been introduced to
Munchkin/Tazz, so if all 4 were adopted out they would need intros.

5. Sex, Color(s) and marking(s) of rat(s) - All males. Smokey is
greyish/blue hooded with striped marking down his back and white fur.
Bandit, his brother, is black/brown hooded with striped marking down his
back.

Tazz is white with black markings around his face, but not full hooded, and
little black spots
on his underbelly. Munchkin is a honey-colored hooded with honey-stripe down
his back and beige colored fur.

6. Health condition and if they have ever been to the vet (including any
past physical or behavioral problems).

Good health. Smokey/Bandit are on Doxy/Baytril for sneezes but otherwise in
good health, eating well and active. Tazz and Munchkin were treated with
Baytril/Doxy when I first brought them home but are doing well now. Smokey
and Bandit are very sweet, Bandit is a bit more shy, but both love company
and playtime.Neither have ever bitten. Smokey gets a little vocal during
bathtimes and whines but he's a sweeie.

Munchkin is warming up to people, he's still a little skittish but has never
bitten. Tazz is more dominant, he likes to come to you but it has to be on
his own terms. He loves his playtime. He can be a bit vocal when  you pick
him up, but he's warming up. The first 2 months I had him he never bit, but
recently this past week he's started to bite fingers through the cage bars.
(I've never fed through the cage bars, none of my other boys do this, so I'm
wondering if Taz is getting territorial or just smelled something? I also have another thought - when
I put my arm in the cage, he will grab the sleeve, pull it toward him then go in. Maybe he was trying
to pull my finger in? lol).

7. What are you currently feeding your rat(s)? Mazuri lab blocks, wheat
pasta, fresh veggies (broccoli, peas, carrots, bell peppers) and fresh
fruits (they love bananas and grapes)

8. What type/size houseing does your rat(s) currently live in and what
bedding do you use?

Smokey and Bandit are in a 2-story superpets cage, powder coated with vinyl
flooring on the
levels. Tazz and Munchkin are currently with their other 2 brothers right
now in a Martin's 695 - I will provie another 2-story superpets cage for
their adoption with vinyl flooring as well, or I have a Ritz Chinchilla cage
they can go in temporarily.

I use Carefresh Ultra for all my rats, or fleece bedding if they are
recovering from cuts/surgery/etc.

9. Are you willing to send your rat's housing with them to their new home?
Absolutely **I will also contribute $250 to each pair of rats toward vet
expenses/etc. for a GOOD home.

10. If you are willing to help transport to adopters - I can try if they are
near Tewskbury. I would need to rent a bigger car to transport the cages
though.

11. Send any available pictures if you can.

Good news for Tazz and Munchkin - they are being adopted to a great rattie mom (I'll let her post details)

Smokey and Bandit are still available to a good home.

Thanks!

Update - still no home found for them. I'm going to plan to take them with me if no one can adopt them though. They are battling sniffles right now so I'm taking them to vet this week and get another checkup. Just in case someone
is interested, I wanted to let them know they will probably be on meds this week Smiley

Thanks,
