HVRR: Spayed girl in MI - ADOPTED!
«

Momma Mae is a beautiful black variberk female. We don't know her exact age, but she is about a year and a half now as she has been here for several months. She came to us from a woman who kept having her girls escape their cages to play with her boys, and thus needed to rehome her females ASAP. Mae had a litter the day before she came to the rescue, on 7/28. She was a great mom and raised her babies well, and now that they all have homes, she needs a home too! She's a sweet girl and not nippy at all, though she prefers to run around and explore rather than cuddle. She's always on the move.
She has been spayed.
Her adoption fee is $20 - great deal for a spayed girl!
(The tip of her tail was degloved by her previous owner. It has healed well and does not bother her.)

I have 3 girls and I'd love to adopt a neutered boy or two. I have a whole Martin's RUUD to fill! I may be interested in Zeki and Valentine. Could they transported to Indiana? Do they get along well with other rats? What are their personalities like?

Ooo! Where in Indiana? Yes, they get along great with other rats. Zeki is a bit of a shy boy, but very loving and snuggly - he runs to me when he's scared. Valentine is a fairly happy go lucky fellow, and loves to wrestle with his cagemates.

Right now I live in Kokomo, IN, but I just got a job as a veterinary assistant in Indianapolis, so I'll be moving there soon. I won't be able to adopt them until I move, though, because my parents may wring my neck if I bring anymore pets home. Even if Zeki is shy at first, he's so pretty and I'm looking for a nice snuggly boy, as my girls prefer running around and exploring to sitting and snuggling with me.

When are you moving? I could certainly meet you at least part of the way. Even if these guys get adopted before you move, I will have others I'm sure.

If we can get transport to southern Wisconsin, I'd take some boys... I've PMed you but I thought I'd post here as well!
Let me know!

Also, I do have occasional transport to PA and may be able to arrange other transport.

I know I know...No discussion. But I just don't get it either! I have the same issue here right now two. Two adorable girls in adoption who no one seems to want. They have been here a while too. I don't understand it either as she looks absolutely adorable and a great color too.

If she was near RI, I would snap her up in a second!
I will be looking for a companion for 2 6 month old males very soon.
I would prefer a spayed girl if possible.

Any chance for half a transport to MN or even WI?
I'm in St. Paul. I know it's a long shot, but figured I'd ask.

Don't breed or buy while shelter animals die.

Mandy, Kaia's had quite a few rats flown to adopters, 2 rats in the past couple weeks even; that might cost less, considering gas prices currently.

Heh, I've only shipped rats three times.
I'm willing to do so again to a good home, though. Email me Mandy, if that's an option you wanna explore...

Actually, that was Melissa (LeonaKitty) on my account, but heck, I couldn't say no either.
Maybe we could take a road trip and meet somewhere? We'll discuss and get back to you.
