Well, my new rat "Bella" came from petco last week, and it appears she is pregnant Sad I am expecting some babies anytime, so please let me know if you would be interested in adopting one of them. If they come in the next week, they will be ready for a new loving home sometime mid December, just in time for XMAS!! The mother is a hooded aguati (sp?) and I believe there is a good chance the father would be a PEW because that is all there were in the cage with her at the petstore?? Who knows? She is very sweet and her babies will be spoiled and loved by me and my two children (11 and 8 ).
I live between Nashville and Chattanooga, so I would be willing to meet at either place.

Thanks,
~Lisa;)

*********************Update********************
OK now I'm just confused. I adopted Bella on 10/20/07 (I'm pretty sure this was the exact date). Within 2 days her belly started to get really big. I was SURE she was pregnant! I was preparing myself for babies. Built another cage and everything. Now it is exactly 3 weeks later. She still looks pregnant, but no babies!!! I don't know what's going on. I'm going to take her to the vet if she doesn't pop in the next day or so. Now I'm starting to worry that she is sick or something. Or maybe the new food just made her really fat? Any thoughts?

Can anyone see these photo? I followed the directions but I can't see them??

~Lisa;)

We're not allowed to have discussions in the adoption section.  You could try asking your questions in Rat Care Corner.

Bella had 8 babies yesterday. Here are the pics:) If anyone is interested in adopting some of these little ratties please email me mylisa1979@hotmail.com

Everbody is still doing well! I am 90% sure I have 3 girls and 5 boys. Again... sorry about the pic quality:( I am stuck with this camera phone till I find my digital.

Here are the boys. The top 3 have light eyes.

Here are the girls. The only dark eyed one is on the right.

Just a cut pic of the girls

Day 3  Grin

Cute little bed I found at the thrift store. I think that's a mouse on the front... but still!! How cute!
There were 8 in the bed and the little one said...

Looks like only one of them will be hooded like momma (hard to tell in the pic but the top one is hooded)

Day 8. I really really love them all! They are so adorable and Bella(momma) has become sweeter everyday. She will hang out with me on the couch with the babies in my lap and just come around to check up on them and give me kisses... then she's off to play again. I still have two boys and two girls I might be willing to part with if a good home comes around, but it gets harder everyday

Would you be willing to help me set up a rattie train? I live in NW Arkansas and I don't have access to a car for longer than half a day, and I'm not used to driving on the interstate/highway yet. :\

Before I fill out the questionnaire, I still have to convince my parents. I might just not tell them and be a bad girl! :x But we'll see what happens. They're going to have to bend eventually. I'll be taking care of them myself, so they really have no say. XP

I would love to hun, but I haven't had any experience with that yet. You could post with the heading "Help with rat transport from Nashville to (wherever you can make it) People seem willing to help if anyone is in that specifc area. It's worth a try:)

I see on your profile that you're 19. I hope your parents loosen up and let you have some rattie friends  Grin They will probably fall in love with them too

Once I convince my parents, I'll get back to you on that and maybe set up a thread for that. <3

Hee, I know! Maybe I'll ask them to let me have this for Christmas. I'd have to wait after Christmas, but that's okay.

They will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. These babies are so sweet! I have two fawn boys that are not spoken for if anyone is interested.

Here are some pics of day 18...

Bob chewing on Butters' tail

Sweet little Fern

King Tweak

Squiggle licking away (this is the one I thought would be a PEW but she ended up being a very diluted fawn hooded... although the flash kind of washed her out)

Peek-a-boo Piglet

Omg, these ratties are too cute!!
I would love to take home the hooded male and the black/agouti male!!
-thinks-
Wow, a five hour drive seems like a long way to go.
Ugh..sadly Im only 18 and Im not sure my parents would be thrilled at the thought of driving all that way to get a couple of cute little ratties O.o
BLARG. Maybe...just maybe I can get one of my friends or even my sister to drive me up there one day. It would be a 5 hour trip there and back...in one day!!
Wow..this is going to be a chore. I'll surely get right back to you!!

And what are the personailtys of the two boys left.
AND do you have pictures of the boys.

They are all healthy as of yet Grin Every single one is super sweet. The only reason I am willing to part with the two fawn boys is because I have 3 fawn boys, and truthfully I can't tell them apart  Roll Eyes They all come running to me when I open the cage. They are very kissy and crawl right up my arm to my shoulder. I have noticed, during free range time, that the darker boys run around and explore more; while the fawn boys like to just snuggle up in my shirt where it's safe!
Please send me an email and I will send you some pictures. mylisa1979@hotmail.com
