Hello,
we have some hairless rats for adoption at Ratmansion rescue.  I will explain the situation of their surrender to interested parties.  We are told we are very picky when choosing potential new homes, but we want to guarantee the best possible homes.  Please bear with us and all of our questions to potential adopters.  We prefer that the adopters of hairless rats are not new to rats as pets to ensure that all of their needs are met.  We have an adoption fee and contract.  Also, we prefer that you come meet the rats so we can see if it is a good match.

The rats came to us as hairless with no pedigree.  We have assessed their health and social skills actively for 3 weeks.  The young ones seem to be double rex.  One of the adults could be a true hairless, we are not sure about the second one.
   This is what we have:
2 6-week old females, both hairless: must be adopted out together (Not Negotiable)
2 6-week old males and 1 8-week old male; the older one is hairless, the younger ones are all hairless except for a fuzzy (not much fur really), must be adopted out as pairs or as a group of 4 (Not Negotiable)
2 7-month old adult females, both hairless, these are special needs rats and I know I may end up keeping them if I cannot find a experienced rat owner, they have issues trusting humans and even though they do not bite, they need extra love and patience, they were used as breeders and not handled a lot, I am very happy with the progress we've made with them so far, must be adopted out together (Not Negotiable)

Thank you for taking time to read this post.

Some more info: Manor is located East of Austin, TX. (Actually we are located within Austin city limits, but have a Manor zip code)
