Hey guys, so about a week ago I noticed Bubba's was "out" and wasn't going back in, so I jumped on here and saw you could rub some vaseline on it to let it go back in etc. So I went to the store to get some vaseline and by the time I came back it was back in! But then I took him out tonight and its back out again! I rubbed some vaseline on it but it didn't work. I had him out for a long while and he peed quite a bit and pooped. His poops are large too, not tiny (like dehydrated poops?) Any ideas? Do you think this is in need for an immediate vet appt.? Hes always been my lazy rat and he doesn't seem lethargic or anything, he comes out plays, etc etc, plays in the cage and stuff. Also My boy's cage is very close by to the girl's cage so I thought maybe one of my girls could be in heat? Could that be possible? Any ideas are appreciated!

One more question, I was going to introduce my two new boys to my boys tonight or tomorrow night, should I wait or will they not be affected?

Thanks!

I'd hold off with introducing him to anyone, as he's VERY vulnerable to a nasty bite in that area!!

Is his penis swollen and can't go back in?  I'm not sure I'd use vaseline, but water soluble KY instead.  Or as ratlets suggested, some sugar.   I'd get him to the vet when you can for some antibiotics ..  Poor guy!
