These guys still have a ways to go before they can be adopted, but I hoped I could get more adopters if I started early. Some will be dumbo, although I'm not sure which ones yet. They were sexed to the best of my ability, hopefully this list will not change!I am not a breeder. The babies are handled daily, kept on fleece, and will be fed Mazuri when they are eating solids.Should be some good, sweet guys.I'll put up some pics ASAP.

I live in Greensboro, and I could probably take a boy if you have trouble finding homes.  My current boy can be picky about other rats, though!

Why Why Why do you do this to me?!

Hubby has wanted nekkids again ever since our nekkid fosters got adopted.  Now the moral dilemma...do I TELL him there are possible nekkid babies out there?  Hmmm...yep, no way to resist the draw of those warm, soft little bodies!

Must have the nekkids!!!

Ya'll, I'm soooo sorry I haven't been here in so long, and haven't been able to reply, but I'm having some health problems.Right now I'm not sure what is going to happen with the babies, because of my health, and my husband not being able to care for all of my rats, and me not being able to offer much help. He's in the Army, and works alot of hours(and weird hours),plus we have 2 small children. He knows the owner of a pet shop that will sell them all as pets, and is wanting to take them all there, along with the mommas.I really don't want to do this, but it will be better for my other rats so that they can get the care they deserve. They're pretty spoiled, and I prefer to keep it that way.I'm really upset about this, but I don't feel that I have much choice.I'm going to probably be in and out of the hospital for a little while, and am pretty tired all of the time, and I don't feel I have the right to put so much more work on my husband, when the babies will go to good homes anyway.I'm going to try to keep them until they are old enough to go to homes from here, but I really don't know if I can.I don't know how young would be too young for them to be separated from their mommas, either.I'm going to look up that info in a few. But,the bottom line is,I really don't know what's going on right now.If the babies are old enough to leave their momma when my husband takes them to the pet shop,I can try to keep a few of them for anyone who is positive they want one and who is positive that they will be able to drive out here to get one.I'd really need your word on that though,or my husband would be mad if you didn't show up.

I did get some pics of them.I don't think they're through uploading onto photobucket yet,but I'll post a link anyway, but I'm not sure if it will work. They are absolutely adorable!I wish I could keep every one of them!I am going to try to keep the blue dumbo, because I fell in love!

I really am sorry about all of this, and I hope it works out for everyone involved.

So sorry to hear this Rowan.  I hope you are well soon!  If I were closer I would take them all and find homes for them!  Hopefully somebody close by can help.

Ok,everybody,I'm gonna try to just make this quick, because I'm trying to just not think about it.
My husband went ahead and took them to the pet shop this morning. Sad He knew we'd never find them all homes based on 1 past experience with an accidental litter, and just didn't have the time to help me with them.

This has been such a heartbreaking experience.I hope that anyone who is reading this, thinking of breeding or even having both sexes ,unaltered, in the same home will think twice. And,if you think that you'd just keep all of the babies, think of how much your other rats would be missing out on with less space, attention, and money spent on them, not to mention the ratties already up for adoption missing out on a home.

Those girls I had were such escape artists ,so fast, and all they wanted was to be with the boys. They didn't even want human attention. They truly had a one track mind.It was sooooooooooo hard to keep them from sneaking in with the boys.I have never had rats like that.My other girl could care less about the boys, only wants people, and my boys are the same way.I really don't know wich personality is more common.I would just say,if you're going to have boys and girls, have your girls spayed.

I'm so sorry to have put all of you through this.My remaining girls are getting spayed next month,so that this can never happen again.

And,thanks Zookeeper for your well wishes on my health.I'm going to live and everything.I'm just not going to feel good for a while, and it's of course just no fun and alot of trouble!

OH, I am so sorry to read this!  I cannot imagine having my babies end up in a pet store.  Maybe you could tell us what pet store and some people in the area might be able to get them out of there??  I am way too far but I am guessing there are others in the area.  I for sure would have taken some until they could find homes if I was closer.  I am glad to hear that you are going to be ok-ish.

Thanks,Zookeeper. It was super sad! I'm just trying to really focus now on the happiness of the rats I have and the babies I was able to keep. I love them so much!

I think there's only like 3 Goosemoosers that live near me, but if anyone does want to go to the pet store to get any of the babies, let me know and I will ask my husband where he took them. I didn't ask him any details because I just really didn't want to have to think too much about them.I know that sounds cold, but that's the only way I could deal with this.

Thanks for all of your support and not beating me up about this. As you can probally guess, I've beat myself up enough.
