not too long ago I adopted two male rats. I adopted them from the animal shelter I volunteer at and I named them Butters and Sage. Sage recently died unexpectedly. I don't know what happened to him. I went into their room the other morning and he was just laying there dead. My first concern, obviously, was Butters. My current issue has been finding him a friend. I am having a really difficult time at it! The shelter where I got him and Sage adopted out the rest of their rats. ANd I emailed a local rescue a week ago and I haven't heard from them. SO I thought I'd turn to you all! DOes anyone have a single (or pair) of young male rats for adoption? I am having the hardest time finding him a friend and it's becoming desperate. I dont' want him to be alone.

Any suggestions? THanks everyone.

what kind of rats are you looking for?  RatAttack59 has little baby PEW boys she is trying to adopt out.  They are really cute, you may want to try and contact her.

Yes she contacted me but I couldn't figure out how to reply back to the message.  I am not interested in another PEW if I can help it.  Sage was a PEW and it was difficult telling them apart!  If possible, I would like anything besides a PEW.

Would you be willing to have him neutered? My friend needs to re-home her 2 sweet females (black berks) because she needs to move for her new job. She lives in Reading.
