So I adopted/saved a baby rat from the flea market about a month and a half ago, as some might have seen in a previous post.  Now, I don't know if i'm just being impatient or not...but she doesn't seem to be getting any better with human contact. She gets scared from the smallest of noises and is constantly alert. And you can see her body in a constant state of fast breathing.  I'm not sure what to do to make her become more used to me. I didn't have this problem with her older sisters/cage mates (not related at all). In fact, her overall behavior is completely like that of which I had to handle with my other two girls(who, unlike the baby, think i'm heaven on earth).  Anyone have/had a similar problem and find a solution? All help is appreciated...
