First and foremost, I am looking for a home for a sweet female rat, Giselle. She's a black masked dumbo, about one and a half years old. She has a cataract in one eye but otherwise is in great health. Giselle has never been bred and is not spayed. She can be a little skittish at times but is not at all bad tempered (has never bit or nipped).

She grew up in a group of five girls, and idealy I'd like to see her go to a home where she can be introduced into another decent sized group. At the very least, she needs a home where there is one other female rat for company.

To encourage Giselle's adoption to a home with several other rats, I'm including the very big cage she currently lives in. It's 5' tall, 4' wide, and about 18" deep. It can house well more than five rattie girls! The wire is PVC coated but in excellent condition, the girls never chewed at it, and wire spacing is 1" (so it's not the best for babies-- good housing for bigger rats only). It's put together with cable ties and can be collapsed for transport. The slide-in tray is built from coroplast.

Sorry, I don't have any current pics of her on this computer, but there are a few baby pics:

(Again: these are baby pics-- she's all grown up now!)

And a picture of the cage. Giselle is on the top level:

I'm in the Hagerstown, MD area near Frederick, Rockville/Gaithersburg, MD and also very close to Greencastle, Chambersburg, PA and Martinsburg, WV. I don't have much access to eMail right now so I might not be able to get back to you right away. I'm asking $35.00 for her and the cage. If you're not interested in the cage, no problem, let me know and we'll work out something.

Hiya.  I live in the Gaithersburg area and although I CANNOT take her in (I have 10 right now myself), you may want to contact Small Angels to see if they have any space available in the rescue for her.

Hi!

I live in Bel Air, Maryland.  If you would be willing to transport her, I would LOVE to adopt her!   Grin

Hiya - I just sent you a pm with Erin's info also, she is interested in adopting her as she needs a friend for her current girl and she is having problems getting into the forum.   Not sure what her username is on the forum.

Hi there! What a cute baby! If you have not found a home for her yet, I think I have room for your sweetie, though we'd have to arrange transport. I run, I suppose you could call, and 'unofficial' rescue -- I take in who I can and try to find good homes for them... however if homes are not able to be found, I will keep them until they pass. With your dear, because of her age (though I admit her cuteness does help), I would just keep her for my own until she passes. She doesn't need to be bounced around that much at her age. Anyway, let me know how things go for her. You can email me at liamsmom82@yahoo.com
