Bedding/nose bleed help!

I recently got two rats from a place who kept them in pine bedding. I introduced them to my other two rats, and today I noticed that one of the new ones had a nose bleed. I don't know if it was due to a fight, or if it's possible for them to get nose bleeds by being introduced to a new type of bedding? I'm using aspen. Can it also be a sign of a respiratory problem?
I had another rat a while ago who was kept in newspaper type bedding, and when we got him we used aspen and he ended up with a nose bleed. Which is why I'm thinking it's maybe a bedding change.

Any help would be great. If it's anything serious I'll definitely have him checked out.

Ive personally never heard of a rat getting a nosebleed from changing it from a bad bedding to a good one. If your other rat that had the nosebleed a while back suffered complications afterward, you definatly want to take your rat to the vet. If you are really concerned, you should probably take your rat to the vet anyways just to make sure you know the real cause of the nosebleed.

Sounds like porphyrin discharge to me. Illness(such as resp infection) or stress can cause it.

I didn't know stress can cause that. Maybe the move from the place I got him, to the new cage stressed him out. The rat I had before didn't have the nose bleed until after we changed his surroundings, so that could have been stress too.

I'm probably going to take him to the vet anyway just to make sure, but thanks for your help!
