First of all I'm REALLY sorry I didn't get pictures of this incident, but let me try and describe it.
It's been really hot here, and I've had to go out during the day, so I've been leaving a terracotta saucer of water on the middle and ground floors of the cage for the rats to paddle in, wade through, etc.
I came home today and sat on the floor by the cage to greet the gang.  Oliver and O'Malley came and stood side by side at the bottom door, with their backs to the water, in the hope that I might open the door and let them out.  They get pretty worked up when they're excited, and Oliver suddenly reached over to his brother and grabbed a chunk of his side, and yoinked him.  O'Malley gave a pathetic little 'beep!' and leaned away from Oliver, whereapon Oliver let go, and O'Malley tumbled sideways into the saucer of water.  As I was falling about laughing, the two of them romped off to fight some more, and Goody, eager to see what was going on, came rushing down a small ramp, promptly tripped over her own nose, and executed the most perfect somersault, landing on her back with her bottom in the water.  She got even wetter than O'Malley, and I just about peed myself laughing.  I dried everyone off, and let them out for a quick runabout as a way of thanking them for the clown act I'd just witnessed.
What a bunch of noodles.  Roll Eyes  Honestly, who needs tv?  Yellow Cute Laugh

Oh, I could sit and watch my guys for hours, they entertain me to no end.  How they will push each other away to get my attention and run around like little nitwits trying to get to the door first, it's so cute.  I would have loved to see you little ones today, sounds hysterical!!!

Heehee...I agree.  I had my girls on my bed last night for play time and every time I picked up Tonks, I turned her over and made smoochy noised in her belly and she reacted by grooming my forehead.  I just swooned with happiness.  Rats are better than antidepressants, I swear.

I second that.  Nothing turns a bad day around like rattums.

I would have loved to have seen that rat stunt show, lol.

I have two stories like that. Two year ago on Thanksgiving I descided to give my boys (who have all passed on now) a little saucer of whipped cream. I had the door open and was holding the saucer for the rats on the bottom level. One of the boys, Wentworth was in a hurry to get to the whipped cream from the second level,  leaned too far out, slipped, and landed on his back into the the whipped cream. Needless to say he was not a happy man.
Another time I was sharing some ice cream with the boys. Wentworth (not the luckiest rat in the world) was happily enjoying himself with the ice cream, when all of a sudden my other rat, Hector, jumped from his hammock right onto Wenty's head, forcing poor Wenty head first into the ice cream.

Sharing funny rat stories? I have one.
Amelie (the 'skinny one') was up on my laundry hamper sniffing. Her sister, Isabel (the 'fat one') was at the base. All of a sudden, Amelie slips and lands right on top of Isabel! Amelie dashes off as if nothing was the matter but Isabel sits there for a few split seconds, completely dazed and sort of folded over like a human sits, with her back legs in front. Then she takes off, running after Amelie and play fighting her, as if in revenge.

I have 2 little russian blue's and they are so naughty.  If someone is trying to escape or climb your leg (inside your pants/trousers I might add) it is bound to be one of them!  I agree they are better than tv!!!  (though I don't have a tv) the way they shove each other with their hands and when they sometimes have an disagreement and flail their little hands at each other while standing on their hindlegs.  Definately entertaining  Yellow Cute Laugh

What great stories! You guys's rats are quite little goofballs! I might have a story about my rats..(If I can remember one..) This one time fly flew into my rats cage, and Lightning went crazy, because she's a bit scared of bugs, and dashed up the ramp, knocking over Cinnamon who was coming down,so Cinnamon tumbled onto the cage floor, looking confused, and then she saw the fly and dashed up the ramp after Lightning,(who was crouched in their hammock) and jumped into the hammock, and both of them were making little "squeek" sounds, trying to get a spot in the hammock, and from their little ruckus, the hammock came down, from their combined weight,so they're all dazed, until the 'killer' fly comes up to the next floor, and then both rats stare at it with huge eyes, and then they both stand on their hind feet, and attempt to paw at the fly,and making little 'peep' sounds the whole time. Eventually the fly went away, but I was there the whole time,it was so hilarious.  Yellow Cute Laugh (oh and about the hammock, don't worry, they didn't fall down more then a few inches  )
