noki's lump
«

today i was looking at noki as i was distributing treats and i noticed that she was "thick" under her right arm. i checked it and sure enough there was a lump the size of a pea. it's loose under the skin...i can roll it and move it around with no reaction from her. she's eating well, playing, drinking, and her lungs are clear. noki is 2 years old now and she's going to go to the vet next week.

Hopefully it'll be a slow-growing lump, and won't need surgery (or even better, hopefully it won't grow at all!). Give her gentle scritches for me!

Don't breed or buy while shelter animals die.

Considering the fact that she's healthy, she would probably be a good candidate for surgery. I've had 2+ year old rats undergo surgery, all did really well. The key is getting it done early!

Sounds like a mammory tumor in the making. My boy bach had one on his tummy that had to be removed. It felt exactly the way you describe except his was a lot bigger.
The good thing about it not feeling like its attatched to anything is that it will be really easy to remove.
