Could someone please describe mites and such to me? I'm finding little scabs on my male's body.

What type of medication should my vet be prescribing in order to cure this?

Thanks!

Mites look a lot like little scabs or you'll see patches of missing hair. As far as I know you can't actually see them walking around in there. lol. Anyhow here are a couple of links that might help. Most people here use Revolution (the kitten kind) to medicate. You can find it online if you google it or you can get it from your vet. I personally use Ivermectin and I've never had a problem with it (my vet recommended it), but I've heard of some rats that build a tolerance for it. So I guess in the end it's your choice.
