What is the best tool to use for trimming the top teeth. I have no problem doing the bottoms with nail clippers, but these top ones are super thick and I can't even use a toe nail clipper or the bunny nail clippers to get around them. I heard people using cat or dog nail clippers, but I'm not sure if they would crack or not. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure of your rat's history...why are you trimming the teeth?  Has your vet taught you how to do it?

Turd is old and he has a old man back end so he eats at a angle and cannot eat hard stuff and keep his teeth ground down properly. So I have to trim them Smiley
