Friday night we got Ringo (now Ukitake)! When we asked about adopting the other three, we inquired about Ukitake as well; Kaia told us he already had an interested adopter, but if it didn’t work out, she’d let us know. She emailed us (don’t know if it was Thursday or Friday; we got it Friday) and asked if we were still interested. Of course, we said ‘YES!’
He’s such a sweet, sweet boy and he settled right in, just as though he’s always been with us. He was bruxing and licking fingers the first night (and has moved on to boggling and washing arms and hands) and he’s perfectly content to curl up on me for a nap and some scritches while I’m on my laptop or reading – or sit in my hood while I’m up and moving around. By last night he was perfectly comfortable riding around in my hood and sharing my evening snack with me – he didn’t even hesitate to drink water out of my cup when I offered it to him.
He doesn’t mind holding still for pictures either (especially when he’s getting scritches), so I got a few decent ones of him from Saturday and one from last night when he decided that he likes the hood of my over-sized hoodie.

And from last night:

Right now he's sitting partly in my hood and partly on my shoulder, bruxing away as I type this (and sharing my breakfast; he got one whiff and snatched what I offered right out of my hand X3)
BTW, does anyone have any idea about his markings? His page on Petfinder said 'blue capped/banded(?)' and since I've never seen a rat with markings like his before, I'm kind of curious.
EDITI did some research since I had time and eventually found what I was looking for - his markings are called cap-stripe.
