Are ramps a must with the rat manor? I put them in, but my rats keep knocking them down  They seem to get around the cage just fine by climbing the bars, and they often squeezed under the ramps to do this.

If your rats can get from level to level without ramps you can take the ramps out. You could also put bird toys (those bendable bird ropes and such) as ramps if you feel like it. Rats seem to love to climb those things.  Blue Dumbo Smile

Yep I have a couple of cages where the ramps don't stay on either and as long as the rat is younger and doesn't have a problem climbing and leaping then I just leave them off.  Besides like you said.  Most younger rats are monkies anyhow who totally ignore ramps.
