just wandering if its ok to feed a little bit of fried chicken to rats, im doin a shoot tomarrow with them and i need tohme to stay still and look like their eating something that they really cant eat, i was either goin to use some fried chicken to make it look real or i was goin to just use some yogies or seed treats i have, if its not good at all thats fine, i dont want to take any chances.
oh yeah it will just be the meat, no skin

I don't see why fried chicken (just the meat, not the skin) wouldn't be safe for them to eat. I've given it to my rats, and they usually love it. Maybe some of the other rat experts can confirm this for you though.

A little chicken meat is perfectly fine, healthy even. The bare bones are a nice chew-treat for them, as well.

Seriously, there is nothing cuter than seeing a rat trot around with a wing bone in their mouth, barely keeping balance, like a tiny dog. Cracks me up every time.

Yes, rats love chicken.
Once, I gave my boys a chicken bone each. Briar stashed his, and then stole his brother's, so I tried to grab the chicken bone away from him. Briar sunk his teeth into the bone, and wrapped his paws around it so hard that when I tried to lift the chicken bone away from him, I accidentally lifted Briar off the ground!

I just recently discovered how much rats like chicken bones. So since I dont buy meat on bones for us to eat, I drove through the chicken place and ordered two chicken legs to go... and of course I just HAD to let them know it was for my rats! I love that shocked look!
