)
We'd love to hear from any gentelmen rats out there who fit the description!! Pictures are a huge plus.
Emma, Kayla, and Sasha (4 mos old, intact) keep bugging me to get them a playmate and I'm really looking to get a feel for gentlemen ratties, since I have more than enough experience with my girls. So we decided to place an add in the 'ratty classifieds'

All joking aside, I am looking to adopt a neutered male rat. I have ample time and space to add another fuzzy friend to my 'rat pack'. I'm willing to travel within Illinois (I'm located in Glen Ellyn) although could make considerations to travel out of state to find that special gentleman.
I've had a lot of trouble with my pink-eyed Siamese Dumbo, Sasha, due to her temperament (super skittish/sky) and her sight problems. As such I'm really not able to adopt another rat with similar traits. I'd be more than happy to work with an unsocialized guy, so long as he's outgoing and willing to investigate. while I do have a lot of time to devote to my pets I feel that my inexpertese with shy/skittish rats requires extra time i can't always offer.
My girls are my first rats, and have been with me since February of this year. I unfortunately lost one of my original trio just a few days after bringing her home (euthanized following undiagnosed infection spread to brain), hence my interest in a younger gentleman. i have experience administering medication and have a vet for emergencies/checkups.
If you'd like more information on what I can offer your adoptee just let me know and I'll be happy to send pictures of anything you need.

here's hoping that special gentleman is out there somewhere!
