Hello!

I live in Northern Wisconsin and I'm searching for 2 dumbo boys to spoil rotten.  My geographical location has made it very hard to find 2 boys to give a wonderful home to.  There seem to be so many wonderful ratteries and rescues in Michigan and such, but there's the issue of a very large lake in the way.  sad11  I've been searching the internet but really haven't had any success.

I can drive a couple hours and even get down to the Chicago area.

Any help at all would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Up north there is Rhinelander Rat Resue. http://www.geocities.com/Rhinelander_Rat_Rescue/
I would e-mail Shaz because her website might not be updated.
Where exactly are you in Northern WI?

On the coast of Lake Michigan, about 45 min east of Green Bay.  I'll try e-mailing Shaz, I wasn't sure if she was taking in ratties again or not.  Her website hasn't changed in a long time.  Undecided

Thanks!

I have a few dumbo males that are babies.  They are ready to go in about a week.  I can send you some pics if you would like.  But I do live in Milwaukee so thats a bit of a drive. Let me know.  Thanks!

Periodically there are rats in the Appleton area, whether at the humane society or the cat rescue there. I'd email Shaz, but also keep checking Petfinder! I once adopted a wonderful pair of boys from the shelter in Oconto. Rats do pop up periodically in the area. Smiley

I have been slowly starting back at taking in and adopting out rescues. We had a sever myco issue come through here, even after my careful quarenteens. The website that wonder rodent gave you has not been updated because that was the original site. The new site is www.RhinelanderRatRescue.com
I will be updateing it this weekend since I am fairly certain that there are no more issues with URI at least not for a few weeks now, and my vet has given everyone here a clean bill of health.
However the only dumbos I have available are hairless males. I would prefer that the two and their standard earred brother stay together. There is a few potential adopters for these boys, but I am weeding through them to make sure they get the best home possible. Feel free to stop by the new site and check it out, I should have it updated fully by tuesday at the latest. Shaz
