Elaine, Sabrina, and Natasha are three lovely
spayed female rats currently living together at HVRR. They've been at the rescue for awhile now, and no one wants them.

Is there anyone out there interested in any of these lovely girlies?

Their adoption fee is only $20 per rat.
Sabrina and Natasha are sisters, approximately 5-6 months old, and were surrendered along with Natasha's 5-week-old litter. They were purchased from a pet store by a girl who was hiding them from her father, and who realized once Natasha had 11 babies that she was not able to give them the care they needed. I would prefer these two be adopted together.
Sabrina is a curious and inquisitive beige hooded girl who likes being petted, and will come when called. She runs right up to you in her cage and eagerly searches your hands for treats, enjoying all the petting she can get. She is a bit nervous at actually being picked up, but settles once out with you. She would rather explore and investigate than cuddle, but she loves attention and should settle in well in a new home. She does like to taste test fingers sometimes, but only nibbles. She sneezes occasionally, but has been otherwise very healthy.
Sabrina:

Natasha, a black hooded, is a little more shy than Sabrina, and takes some time to warm up, but she still enjoys attention and petting and will sit on your shoulder. She is a delicate beauty of a rat, very sleek and slender, with very shiny fur. She has gotten more outgoing since coming to the rescue, and will continue to make progress in a loving home, but she will need someone patient to continue teaching her to trust.
Natasha:

Elaine is a beautiful beige bareback rex girl who is under a year old, though I don't know her exact age. Her owner let her "play" with a male rat, and thus Elaine had 8 babies shortly after. The owner kept two of the babies and surrendered the rest, including Elaine, to a Petsmart employee, who then brought them to HVRR.
Elaine was reserved at first, but has blossomed with lots of TLC. She is a very curious girl who runs right up to people in her cage and checks them out, vigorously investigating them. She prefers to run around and explore rather than cuddle, but enjoys petting when she can bother to stop moving for it - typical girly rat! She loves to run on her wheel and is very food motivated. She'd love a home with someone who will give her daily affection and treat her kindly. She does have a bad habit of grabbing for fingers poked through the cage (she thinks they're food), so probably wouldn't be good in a home with very small children.
Elaine:

I might be able to arrange transport, so don't hesitate to ask. I am also willing to consider shipping (by air only) to the right adopter.
