(You can read the unbelievable story of how this happened here--but to sum it up, this was an unfortunate accident.)

Mum Pandora is very sweet and calm, and good about letting her "humom" handle the babies.

9 boys:

Quite a few are dumbo!

6 girls:

Two are dumbo.

I'm just looking for anyone who thinks they might be interested. The babies are only six days old and I admit I have never done this before and am not 100% positive on genders, and even less positive on markings. I just know that some are dumbo, all are cute, and there are 15 of the little buggers.

We are handling them multiple times daily and they will be brought up on good food and bedding and with lots of attention. I am asking $15/pair or $10/individual (only if you have other rats of the same gender at home) to ensure they don't go for snake food, and all I ask is that if at any time you cannot keep them, they come back to me. I do not want this kind of situation happening ever again!

I will only home them within Maine. I am willing to drive to meet (within reason, as I live on an island) on Sundays. I am located on Vinalhaven island, but I will bring babies to the mainland (Rockland) at any time.

My e-mail is unikorn_babe_03@yahoo.com -- that is the best way to reach me. I don't check this board very often. Thanks for looking!

There are only two babies that still need homes: two light-colored, fuzzy girls. Both are top-eared. They might be PEWs, beiges, himis, or siameses; I won't know for sure for another week or so.

Adoption fee is negotiable to the right home IN MAINE. Anyone interested in these two petite beauties?

The girls are sooo beautiful and sweet, and still need a home!

I made the mistake of naming them and now I am getting more attached by the day. Sad There is a champagne hoodie (Santana) and a lovely little PEW (Harlow). With all the surprises this litter has thrown at me (including a random little hairless boy in the bunch!) I wouldn't be surprised if one or both turned into himalayans.

These girls are fearless and bold and so outgoing. If you put your hand in the cage they scramble right in. They are excellent pets and I would keep them if I wasn't already keeping the other four girls from the litter. Unfortunately, I have advertised them all over kingdom come and no one wants them because they are plain looking. Please look past the red eyes and realize that they will be your new best friends if you let them. Smiley
