I know there's tons of rat train posts happening right now but in making my own post I hope to keep things neater on the others. Feel free to link to other posts but please explain what it's all about.

I have a friendly, social, outgoing, affectionate, unaltered, male. He came home January 22 2008 which would make him 5 or 6 months, give or take a little. He currently lives alone because my mom wouldn't let me bring a fourth rat into the house. I'm moving out for college this fall and my stepbrother, whom I'll be living with, has approved my rattie friends! Remmy has socialised with a young male before and had no problems.

Now that I have the opportunity to find him a friend I'm jumping at it. I know that a human's love and affection can't compare to his own species. In your opinions, how young should I go? Should I be looking for a neutered male? If yes, why? Etc, etc.

Thankyou!

PS; Also appreciated would be possibilities for quarantine. I don't have anywhere to do that. :/
