Update below Monday afternoon
Okay, now I know for SURE what UNDOT has--sort of--or I know what she doesn't have. She and Scruffy had been sleeping in Scruffy's cage, and I had cleaned Undot's huge cage (I always keep them clean and with cloth bedding)--and take them out to play almost everyday--but do take them out and handle them and give them attention many times every day. Since they were up and awake, I put them into Undot's cage so I could clean Scruffy's HUGE cage--but Scruffy was stopping and sniffing everywhere in the new cage and I looked and as UNDOT was running around (happily it seems), she is leaving drops of blood everywhere--not urine--I take her out and look and sure enough there are constant drops of blood coming out of her--I am guessing the vagina now--since there is no peeing or urine. This is Sunday night--can she wait until morning to get to a vet--or what needs to be done--or WHAT IS GOING ON? Can anyone who knows or has any idea please let me know? We "can" call our vet far away tonight and ask him for "whatever"--but can she go all night like this or not--OR is there even anything a vet could do for her right now. We do have ER vets who don't really know rats well nearby--but we would have to help them know what to do. Is this fatal--she is 2 years and 6 mos old. Anyone?
The blood drops are pure blood and about 1 per 2 seconds--she is a small rat anyway--she stayed small--should we just get her to a ER and have her uterus removed? Why is it doing this?

Undot stopped bleeding so much and it was back to just a tiny bit once in a while (good thing--think our vet was out of town until tomorrow)--but we would have taken her to one of the ERs near us if she hadn't. My hubby took her in this morning and they did a culture on some of the discharge--it was an infection which some of you may know already. Since our vet who actually does all the anesthesia and surgeries wasn't in, they said that this is common and she was fine and would get better on baytril--if not, we can have Dr. King do her surgery to remove the uterus. So, she got to go to the vets--was the star of the waiting room I hear (on Jack's shoulder)-she is a very busy and happy and trusting little girl, and has baytril right now. Now I finally know that all this time (in past months) that the girls were having bouts of this instead of UTIs--and now I know why it cleared up every time they got antibiotics for it.
Scout, I didn't see your post until a bit later as I had to drive over to another place (but had Dr, on call on my cell)--and when I was there, I saw your post and kept going into the rat chat all evening--but never found you. You were the only one who even responded to my post since yesterday--even though we didn't connect, thank you for trying. I am glad to at least have all this solved (always thought it was UTIs with the others during their later months of their lives). Sherry
