My nephew got 2 baby male rats last summer from a friend who had an unexpected litter. He really doesn't like animals, but his parents thought this could be a good introduction for him, and it hasn't really worked out.

My brother just e-mailed me to see if I wanted to adopt them, that my nephew just really doesn't spend much time with them, and they'd like a better home for them. I am already in as far as I can be with what I have; adding 2 more animals to my house wouldn't be fair for them.

They are very nice boys, never bite  and like to be handled. They love Harlan Teklad blocks. Here are some pictures (they are from last year but they look the same, just bigger):

That is my nephew; you can see how uncomfortable he is with them. he tried, but it just didn't work.

My brother is going to ask the friend whose rat had the unexpected pregnancy, to see if they would take them back, but if they don't I thought I'd put the feelers out there.
BTW  - the unexpected pregnancy wasn't theirs; they bought two rats from a petstore, and as usual, found out one was pregnant.
