I got my cage.  I haven't tried to put them in yet.  Bottom is kinda empty but they usually stay on the top.  I put in a ferret octupus thing under the top shelf after the pic was taken. Grin Grin

Very nice!  I've been making hamocks out of that tie dye fleece.  Did you get yours at walmart?

Yes, I think I got it almost 2 years ago.  My daughter made a few pillows out of it and this is what was left over. Grin

You got the Feisty Ferret!  I have that one, too, but my rat only uses the top level, she won't use the ramps to go up and down.  She climbs on top of her hidey house to to thru the hole in the shelf to get up there.  There's a ladder, but she won't use it.  So I use the bottom half for storage, or as punishment for my Jack Russell.   Tongue

The crew has been intorduced to their new home.  No escapes yet! Party  Marshmallow I swear stuffed her nose in between each and every bar testing though.  Dora and Oliver haven't even cared to try to get out!  Think we will be ok.  Here's their pictures of approval! Wink

Woo!  You liking it so far?

I really like how you have that tile down.  Does it seem to stick okay?  I may end up doing that with mine soon.

It all looks great, and it looks like they're enjoying it! Smiley

(Kind of off-topic, but the doll on the couch made me do a double take- I thought it was a real baby at first! Tongue  Ohboy.  It's early.)

That's funny about the doll.  My oldest daughter has had that doll since she was in preschool.  She used to put it in a carseat and everything in my car.  One day I was dropping her off and threw the doll on the hood and someone came running over.  They got closer and started laughing.  They said they were coming to yell at me (I was young) for treating a baby that way! Yellow Cute Laugh

Back on topic.  The tiles seem to be sticking ok.  I cut them so they stick to the solid frame of the shelf.  I got them at Dollar Tree.  They were the stickiest tiles I've ever used.  I had a hell of a time getting the glue off my fingers after.
Just checked on everyone this morning.  They all semm good,  I really like that I can pet them through the bars.  Oliver keeps coming to the side to get scritches!  I love him to death.   Heart Heart  Hopefully cleaning doesn't become an issue because I really like the cage!

Yellow Cute Laugh  Yellow Cute Laugh  That's hilarious about the doll.

I worry my boys would probably chew them up, I'm not sure.  They'll.. eventually destroy almost anything in the cage. Tongue  But wiping it off would be pretty easy to clean.  (and my boys don't usually go potty on the top level.)

Be careful petting through the bars, they may start nipping! Tongue My boys will do that periodically if they think you have a treat.  (They'll also grab your shirt with their hands if you stand near the cage and try to steal it.)

It really is a good cage. Smiley  FN is better, but the FF is sometimes better size-wise (We have funny ceilings on our top level, and so the FN's are too tall in some areas.).  My main issues with it are the double doors the FN has are REALLY nice, and it'd be nice if there was some way you could put a pan in the middle layer, since putting fleece down is really hard to pin to the point they can't pull it up and get under.

I thought about leaving the screw on the side out so I could lift the middle level out (like you can on the bottom)  then use something like pillowcases to cover it.  Then you can just take the middle level out cover it, and put it back.  Don't know if something like that would work or not.  I haven't been spoiled by the FN yet so this is good for me!  Better than the Rat Manor.  Big doors.  Again, I haven't had the double doors so I can't miss something I haven't had!

I'll have to watch about petting through the bars.  I never feed them through the bars so hopefully it doesn't become a big problem.  I'll let you know if they try to chew the tiles.  They haven't tried it yet but it has only been 1 day.  If they chew them, they are cheap to replace as long as they don't do it constantly.

Just a little tidbit-- the ramps can be a bit slippery so if you hook the ramp to the shelf BEHIND the hole (there are tabs there too) it makes the slope a bit gentler. The bottom shelf works much better if the hole is toward the front of the cage with the ramp attached in back of it Smiley

Thanks!  That's how I attached the top one,  The bottom one I'll fix when I clean the cage.  I was too frustrated after putting it all together yesterday to change anything again.  I was impatient and didn't want to wait for my husband to help me put it together so I did it myself.  I have 4 kids that were not getting my complete attention so by the time putting this cage together was done, I was pulling my hair out.  Thanks for the info though!! I've been following your threads about finding a cage and was happy to see you found one! Is that the FF? It looks awesome! I loooove the tie dye liners and your ratties look very happy!

I have been thinking about getting a FF when we move and I have more space. How is the assembly? I think I remember reading that the instructions aren't great and that the assembly can be tough? How long did it take you to put it together?

Looks GREAT

It probably took about 1 1/2 hours complete.  But, like I said, I have 4 kids so I had to deal with them also at the same time.  Not giving a 3 and 5 year complete attention causes total destruction sometimes Yellow Cute Laugh Yellow Cute Laugh  The directions are not that great but have pictures too.  If you look through them and all the pieces, it is not so bad.  I really like it and did not have to modify the spacing so, it works for me.  Hopefully I still feel the same in the long run.  Best part is they honored the $119 price at Petsmart.  It is normally $159.99 but it was on sale at Drs Foster and Smith.  Printed it out and after much thought, the manager ok'd it.  I was very grateful!  I like the big doors and being able to play with them through the bars!
