Long live my rodents!

« on: July 05, 2008, 10:38:20 PM »

I'm a huge Tori Amos fan, and wondered if anyone else has seen the music video for her song "God."  I just re-watched it for the first time since owning rats, and enjoyed it about 100 times more due to the fact that there are TONS of rats in the video, and Tori holds them and lets them crawl all over her.  She stated in an interview that she wasn't at all afraid of them, but that it "tickled" when they crawled up her dress.  Yellow Cute Laugh  I think it's a great video - you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEeWCLTo4Xk

The song was Tori's response to patriarchy and the repression of women through religion, and therefore has a lot of religious symbolism and imagry, so if that bothers you don't watch.  Smiley

I love how at about 48 seconds in you can see a rattie run up and sniff her face like "hai!" and at about 2 min in one totally dives down her dress.  Right at the end of the video a rattie gives her a kiss, too!  Just when I thought Tori couldn't get any cooler!  Blue Dumbo Smile

Much better than the rats featured in the movie 'Wanted' where the main character used a few hundred sewer rats with C4 strapped to the backs to take out an enemy strong hold.

Thank you so much for posting that. The video is WONDERFUL! I loved also where she let the rat run into her shirt. I put it on my MySpace and RatSpace pages.

I recently saw this movie too (and loved it, by the way), and it made me laugh how easily you could tell that these were not REAL rats...
